Children under 2 years old can stay for 1 hour, children 2 to 9 can stay for up to 2 hours per day, and children must be 6 weeks old to use Tot Room. Parents/guardians must be a Blue Ash Recreation Center member, member’s guest or a registered participant in a class or program to use the Tot Room. Parents/guardians must remain on the premises and readily accessible at all times. Tennis players or outdoor runners must provide a cell phone number and stay on Recreation Center premises. 4

FITNESS & WELLNESS FREE FITNESS ORIENTATIONS This 45 to 60 minute session is designed to introduce you to our equipment and the basic components of exercise. It will include a personal workout card on which our fitness staff will note seat heights and other information for your future use. Orientations are given by appointment only. Please note that anyone 10-15 years old is required to complete an orientation before using the fitness center. CANCELATION OF CLASSES The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any class, event, or activity. Decisions to offer advertised activities are based upon registration totals. Please register for programs early so minimum class participation can be met. 6

PERSONAL TRAINING PERSONAL TRAINING One of our nationally certified personal trainers will design a specialized program and work one on one with you to help you attain your personal goals. First, you will need to schedule an initial consultation. The consultation consists of a meeting in which we will establish your fitness goals and take you through a series of assessments (wear workout clothes). Before your first “hands on” training session your personal trainer will use the information acquired during the initial consultation to design a program for you. The number of training sessions you purchase is dependent on your needs. Please directly contact the trainer best suited for your needs to set up an appointment. GROUP TRAINING Interested in something a little more affordable than personal training and more personalized than a group fitness class? Our trainers have specific hourly rates for training individually, as well as with groups, but if you have 3 or more people and are interested in committing to a longer time frame (typically between 4 and 8 weeks) then we offer more afforable rates for group sessions. Rates may vary slightly depending upon the type of session that is being offered (Yoga, TRX, Cycling, Kettlebell, General Boot Camp, etc). If you would like to create your own group training class with 3 or more of your friends, feel free to contact any of our trainers directly. EXPERT TRAINERS Expert trainers have a nationally recognized personal training certification and are a great choice if you are looking to improve your health. SUMMIT PARK EVENTS EARTH DAY COALITION One of the best environmental education events in the region with over 125 exhibitors, local music, local vegetarian foods, and Madtree Brewing Company’s craft beer. Activities and presentations about environmental educaion will be featured at the event. Families from all over the region are encouraged to get out and enjoy Earth Day.
