Stay Safe Course Location: Holyrood Community Centre Date: Saturday, March 24 Time: 8:30am Cost: $45.00 The Canadian Red Cross STAY SAFE Course offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 9-13 years old. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities. The course is a nationally recognized program designed to help course participants develop self-assurance, knowledge, and skills required to stay at home alone. These are important tools for your child to have as they begin to build invaluable skills for a lifetime. This program provides an opportunity for affordable activity and fun as a family. Holyrood Winter Photo Contest It’s time to capture Holyrood in all of its winter beauty! This is an open photo contest for anyone to submit their favorite Holyrood winter moments. If it’s winter themed than it’s considered for this contest! Submit your photos no later than Friday March 23 for your chance to win a $100 cash prize! Is open to all ages. Holyrood Happenings Holyrood Introduces First Municipal Enforcement Officer Mayor, Council and Staff are pleased to introduce Matthew Simmonds as Holyrood’s first Municipal Enforcement Officer. This position will monitor the following regulations in the Town to ensure Municipal By-Laws are being followed, for example: • Animal Control Regulations • Anti-Litter Regulations • Sign Regulations • Nuisance Regulations • Mobile Canteen Vendor Regulations • Civic Numbering Regulations • Open Air Fire Regulations • Snow Clearing Regulations The Holyrood Municipal Enforcement Office will begin its regular duties starting April 1, 2018.
