ESL 100: 13 WEEKS SEMESTER PROGRAM Acquiring Accuracy: Comprehensive English 2021 If you are serious about dramatically improving your overall English skills, this is the course for you! EAP 200: 13 WEEKS ACADEMIC COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATE Academic Mastery: University Preparation 2021 The Academic Communication Certificate (ACC) is designed for English learners who want to improve their English skills to enter Canadian university or college WINTER programs. Through intensive instruction of English for Academic Purposes January 4 – April 1 (EAP), students will learn essential skills for an academic setting and acquire critical knowledge for a successful transition to Canadian university culture. SPRING April 19 – July 16 ACC students who apply to an applicable UCalgary undergraduate and graduate degree program, and meet the competitive admission requirements are eligible FALL September 13 – December 10 for conditional admission.* • The condition of admission for undergraduate programs will be met 2022 once a student successfully completes all four ACC core courses with a minimum grade of B+ by August 1 in the year of application. WINTER January 4 – April 1 • The condition of admission for graduate programs will be met once a student successfully completes all four ACC core courses with a minimum grade of B+ by August 1, or as designated by the department.
