Bridge✰ 56 27 HANNA 837 Horsethief DELIA BRIDGING THE GAP ( 378 KM ) ✰Canyon 838 ✰ Bleriot Ferry If you are starting in Drumheller, be sure to start at the Bleriot Ferry, then head DRUMHELLER 576 northwest and stop at The Little Church on your way towards Horsethief Canyon. ✰ Star Mine Bridge 9 Enjoy the winding corners that speckle the badland landscape until you approach 9 ✰ 10 Hoodoos Rosedale ✰ Trail the stunning Morrin bridge. Take a break for some great photos, then continue on 21 Bridge ✰ ✰Dorothy towards Toleman. Check out Dry Island Buffalo Jump provincial park then stop for ✰ROSEBUD Atlas a drink at the Trochu Arboretum. Swing through Stettler, have a bite to eat then 840 56 Coal Mine continue towards the charming hamlets of Byemoor and Endiang. This route is 564 36 guaranteed to be a memorable one. 842 STANDARD 561 HUSSAR BIG SKY ROUTE ( 334 KM ) 561 56 Emerson This makes a great short day ride going through the Alberta Badlands - a desert- Bridge ✰ like area where many pre-historic bone-beds have been found. Be sure to stop in 1 Drumheller to check out a few of their many attractions. Another great part of this 36 ride? Taking in the hoodoos. If time allows, take a slight detour onto 10X towards Wayne. Visit the Last Chance saloon or carry on to Highway 10 towards Dorothy... You’re not in Kansas anymore... about 35 km south east of Drumheller resides 1 873 this tiny hamlet – population of six. This road is very special–built on top of an BROOKS abandoned rail bed this strip of two lane blacktop is pretty well the best road in the area. Long easy sweepers make it a great ride and the scenery is some of the best in the Valley. Continue on through Brooks and if time allows, do a slight detour towards Kinbrook Island Park or head farther east towards the Dinosaur Provincial BROOKS Park that is near Patricia. Once you have taken in all of the sights, loop back and 570 enjoy the small town of Rosebud before arriving back in Drumheller. 10 Hit the road and catch these events. When you visit Drumheller, you’ll find that the natural beauty of the Badlands is just waiting to be discovered. Welcome to the Dinosaur Capital of the World. (We promise, there are plenty of other non- dino related things to do here too!) Your first stop should be to the World’s Largest 1 Dinosaur. “Tyra,” as she’s known by her friends far and wide, is 86 feet (25 metres) tall. There are 106 steps to the top, but the view is definitely worth it. She’s also attached to the Information Centre, so be sure to grab some maps and brochures to take along with you on your journey. Unwind at the Rotary Spray Park, right across from 2 the dinosaur. You can cool off or relax at a picnic table nearby. Also nearby is the Drumheller Skatepark, a great place to practice your skills or show off on your bike, skateboard, or rollerblades. After you shake your wiggles out, take a road trip.
