TURN DREAMS INTO REALITY WE’VE BEEN MAKING POSSIBILITIES A REALITY FOR PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SINCE 1951 AND TO CELEBRATE OUR 70TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR, WE’RE DREAMING BIGGER THAN EVER BEFORE… For decades, Noel’s dream was to go to Sydney’s Mardi Gras and feel included and accepted for who he is. With your support, his lifelong dream came true Leigh dreamed that students with disability at her school in Kingaroy could also receive awards. Josh dreamed of cutting the grass on top of Parliament House in Canberra, and being told “well done”, which he was, by the Prime Minister. Noel (pictured) dreamed of being flown to Sydney for the first time to participate in Mardis Gras. In 2018, through Endeavour Foundation’s Imagine What’s Possible competition, we made their dreams come true. To help us celebrate our 70th year of making possibilities a reality, we’re re- launching our Imagine What’s Possible competition. Our aim is to encourage people with intellectual disability to tell us their dreams — from landing their dream job to learning to do something they’ve always wanted to do — and develop the confidence to believe in their true potential. If you know someone with an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment who wants to live their dream, visit endeavour.com.au/imaginewhatspossible. IMAGINE WHAT’S POSSIBLE COMPETITION ENTRIES WILL OPEN ON MONDAY 15 FEBRUARY 2021, AND CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY 31 MARCH 2021 With your support, what dreams will we make come true in 2021?

REAL WINNERS SERIES Marjory’s Story Marjory was at work and thought she was receiving a sales call, but it was in fact a life altering call instead. It was the call from Kirsty Moore, Head of Lotteries, telling her she had just won a brand new $1.3 million home with ocean views in Little Mountain on the Sunshine Coast. After several “Oh My God’s” and “Are you serious?” and checking the website to verify the results Marjory’s emotions finally caught up to her. Arriving at their new home, Marjory and her partner Ted, were “full of excitement”. “There were lots of butterflies. Probably the happiest I have been in a long time,” said Marjory. “There is nothing that hasn’t been thought of. It’s amazing.” After winning and telling a few people, Marjory said “It’s funny how many people have said to us when we have said we have won this home - “I’ve never met anyone who has won one before!” “I have four grandchildren and three of them are on the Autism spectrum, so I have always been an advocate for helping children who have disabilities of any kind or special needs. This life changing win means Marjory can now help her family along with grandchildren. Helping people with intellectual disability is a cause that is close to Marjory’s heart and we wish her and her family all the best. #431 - MARJORY’S NEW HOME AT LITTLE MOUNTAIN

“ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION HAS BEEN THE GREATEST ORGANISATION FOR HIM. IT’S GOT HIM TO WHERE HE IS TODAY.” When Ross first moved to Brisbane as a 14-year-old, he couldn’t read, write, or speak. Growing up with an intellectual disability in western Queensland in the 1950s, there was little support and it impacted Ross’s development. “It was hard because there were no facilities (to work with) people like Ross, until we moved from Quilpie to Charleville,” said his sister Gladys White. “There wasn’t much there either, so our father decided Brisbane was the best place.” It was there in 1960 that a friend of Ross’s mother showed them a newspaper clipping about a new school that could help Ross. Now known as Endeavour Foundation, in the parlance of the day the Queensland Sub-normal Children’s Welfare Association had been formed in 1951. The first principal at the school in Bowen Hills, Thelma McConnell, saw a huge amount of potential in Ross and in just a year, he’d jumped a hurdle in his development and quickly joined the workforce. From his first job at the printing press in Bowen Hills in April 1961 to his final job in Geebung in 2020, Ross has worked for Endeavour Foundation for an astonishing 59 years. “Endeavour Foundation has been the greatest organisation for him. It’s got him to where he is today,” Gladys said. An avid lover of horses, Ross has a nice retirement planned: spending more time with his old horse named Cal. We wish Ross all the best for his retirement. Here’s hoping Ross and Cal get to enjoy a bit more time in the paddock together. Thanks to your ongoing support, Ross is just one of many inspiring stories of what people with intellectual disability can achieve. #434 LOTTERY 76 Apple Gum Place, Palmview QLD 4553 EVERY TICKET COUNTS Lottery close: 7pm AEST Thursday 15 April 2021 $100 30 tickets $60 14 tickets Lottery drawn: 11am AEST Thursday 22 April 2021 $50 10 tickets $30 4 tickets Prize Home open daily 10am - 5pm AEST, 3 February 2021 – 15 April 2021 $10 1 ticket Closed Good Friday - 2 April 2021 VIEW MORE OF YOUR DREAM HOME AT ENDEAVOURLOTTERIES.COM.AU BUY TICKETS NOW NZ phone: 0800 44 22 35 International phone: + 617 3908 7295 Email: supporterresponse@endeavour.com.au endeavourlotteries.com.au Customer Support Hours: 1800 63 40 40 Mon – Fri 8am – 7pm, Sat 9am – 1pm, closed public holidays PRIZES: #434 Endeavour Foundation Lottery 1st Prize: Prize Home at 76 Applegum Place, Palmview, QLD 4553: Prize home House + land value: $1,200,000, interior design $125,000, BBQ and electrical goods and repairs $4,244.16, Alarm system $3,039, Legal fees and transfer $7,000, $10,000 gold bullion.
