January 8, 2023: Epiphany This Wednesday, January 11, I will no longer be the pastor of St. Mark in Shoreham. Two and a half years ago I readily accepted the assignment from Bishop Barres and promised him I would do my best to serve both parishes. During the fall while I was recuperating from surgery, it be- came clear to me that something was “not right” — it was taking a toll on my health and taking a toll on the vitality of both parishes. I feel that St. John’s and St. Mark’s are best served by a pastor who is on-site all week, who can focus on the daily details and also have a vision for the future. To be honest, the administrative responsibilities of two parishes were just too much for me. The decision to resign was very difficult, and I will miss the people of St. Mark. Last June Bishop Barres renewed my assignment as your pastor for an- other six-year term (June, 2032). Please pray for me that I can serve you with faithfulness, joy and pastoral creativity. I look forward to “coming home” this week and being with you for the years to come. Count on my daily prayers and lots of love as the new year begins here at my home, St. John the Baptist parish! St. John the Baptist, pray for us!
Are you thinking about pursuing an Annulment as something for the New Year? Please feel free to contact Father Frank with any questions! Is money a problem? The parish will be happy to cover the fee for you, if needed!
