Environment and Responsibility
ISO 14001
True to the environment
Sustainable production has always been the guidance for the
corporate action of Heri. A responsible exposure to resources,
efficient use of renewable energies, heat recovery, own
electricity generation through photovoltaics, product longevity,
waste prevention and recycling, as well as facility and vehicle
management are important components of the environmental
commitment of Heri. Located in the Black Forest and thus
responsible for the home, the connection of environmental
protection and economy, will also in future be a compulsive
business objective of Heri. Since 2013, Heri is certified
according the environmental management standard
ISO 14001.

Organic Certification
Organic products are the basis for the production of healthy
and high-quality bio products. Based on the organic certification
that we gained in 2018, in accordance with article 29 (1) of
regulation (EG) nr. 34/2007, we are able to offer all our plant
seeds of the products in the category growing publicity also in bio
quality. Our products are labelled with the bio-logo and feature
your promotional products and your company as environmentally
responsible.

Our climate protection measures
in detail
Own electricity production through photovoltaics
We cover 25% of our electricity
consumption by photovoltaic systems
installed on the roofs of our
company buildings.
Since 2007 we produce electricity through photovoltaic systems that are
installed on the roofs of our company buildings. The focus lies on own use of
the generated electricity for our machinery and equipment. This share currently
amounts to 25%. Investments to increase are planned.

The remaining electricity demand is covered through ecologically produced
electricity gained from wind and water energy. This saves 57.29 tons of
CO²-emissions every year.

By means of modern heat exchange technology, but also by carefully
positioning our compressors and servers, we use the waste heat generated by
these systems for heating the buildings. The different systems are interconnected
and optimised.

We also use the waste heat of our injection moulding machines. We
completely dispense with cooling through industrial cooling systems and use
underground water tanks.
The lighting in our buildings has been converted to LED
technology. This is how we save approximately 10 tons of
CO²-emissions per year.

During product development we make sure that the highest possible proportion
of regenerated material can be used.

Durability and sustainability are also reflected in our products. We have been
producing stamping pens for 60 years now, which have been proven to be used
by the end user for many years. This is reflected in the high rate of reorder stamps
which we and our sales partners produce.
10The promotional products of emotion factory themselves are a contribution to
make the advertising of our customers more sustainable. Especially the series
growing publicity, which deals with the topics forest, indoor climate and
biodiversity, stands for „green advertising“.
