SOCIAL SCENE GLENEAGLES TAMI KLEIN UNIVERSITY SOCIAL ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR 561-498-3606 x134 As Spring rolls through and the temperatures begin to rise, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for a very successful season here at Gleneagles. We had a fantastic turnout for Adam Ferrara & NYC3 in February and I’m still getting rave reviews from that event. Jesse Hamilton Jr. was also a huge success in March with great music and an amazing meal. We have a lot going on in the upcoming months here at Gleneagles and I’m excited about all of it and I hope you are too! We lead off with a dynamic duo performing in our Lounge on April 1 from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Join me in welcoming Maycol and Lilian to Gleneagles. They have been performing at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach during winter and spring seasons since 2011. Florida's off season finds them performing at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France most summers and most recently in Bora Bora at Maycol the renown St. Regis Hotel. They sing songs & Lilian April 1 in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Lounge Italian. They are a personal favorite of mine, 6:30 - 10:00 pm and I am sure you will love them! On April 3 and 4, we have our Eagles Have Flown Season celebration; NEVERLAND. With two days of live entertainment, great food and fun surprises, how can you go wrong? We are also excited to have Alexandra Lewis, one of the most sought-after and exciting singers in South Florida come and perform on April 14 at our Gleneagles University recital series. Some of you may recognize her name as she has performed here over the last couple of years in our lounge on Wednesday nights. She has a repertoire that covers all genres, including the American Song Book, Broadway, Opera, R&B and today's contemporary hits. This is an opportunity to hear her beautiful voice up close and personal and learn more about her upbringing and why music and theatre is in her DNA. We also have two other lectures slated this April that I highly recommend you sign up for. Women and Art in the 19th Century with Dr. Karen Leader, and Austrian and German Émigrés in the U.S. Army and OSS during World War II with Dr. Patricia Kollander. For those of you that will be leaving South Florida in the coming weeks to your summer playgrounds, thank you for your continued support. I wish you safe travels, good times and I look forward to seeing you return in the fall. For our year-round members, look for some fun events to be added to the calendar this summer all designed to enhance your club membership experience. Save the date for our Summer Dinner Show on June 11 where we have contracted Majesty of Rock, a mega talented group of musicians who banded together to faithfully re-create the sound and feel of the two super groups: Journey and Styx. This is going to be one incredible show! In the meantime, I will see you around the Club. Tami 8 the Eagle APRIL 2020

When dinking, a little too high is always preferable to hitting into the net, I missed more shots private tennis lesson with into the net trying to keep my dinks low than any other shot that day. I’m tall, Free Pickleball and got caught straight-legged several times, causing me to miss low balls, or bend at the back hat, Pickleball and and hit a less-than-ideal shot. The proper stance in Pickleball is always feet wider than your shoulders, and knees flexed. paddle re-grip 3. When playing from behind, keep the ball in play. As the match wore on, I took a few too many when you book a 1–hour chances on lower percentage shots trying to create offense and the math just didn’t work out private Pickleball lesson in my team’s favor. Consistency is key, even when the score isn’t in your favor. Be patient and with Head Professional, keep the ball in the court until you get clear opportunities to create offense. Scott Harper.
