LI V I N G G R A N D E Dear Residents, It seems that for many people, things start to slow down during these chilly, early days of the year. But in Grande Dunes, the fun is just getting started! We’ve been having a blast in 2020 so far, and there is much, much more to come. We’re excited to introduce our new Ocean Club Events and Sales Manager, Lisa Mitchell! Lisa has an incredibly successful career in the hospitality industry, raising the bar on exceptional service. We’re thrilled to have her join the Grande Dunes family. Speaking of the Grande Dunes family, one of our all-time favorite spots will soon re-open! You guessed it, the Anchor Café will reopen Spring 2020. Stop by to check out some big improvements including new renovations and a new menu! Stay tuned for even more updates on the Anchor. Everyone in Grande Dunes is so excited about the upcoming Waterway Hills Village. Plans are well underway, and we have something truly spectacular in the works for this new section of our community. We can’t wait for you to see what’s coming. You’ll find more information in this issue. Throughout the past few years, our on-property venue Marina Park has been the host of some great family-friendly events. Well 2020 is ramping up to top all previous years before with a full roster of events, including new concerts, parties, concerts and movies! What better way to enjoy the beautiful Myrtle Beach outdoors than with your neighbors and entertainment? There is a lot happening in Grande Dunes this year. In fact, there’s never been a better time to invite your family and friends to experience life in our community! NEWS FROM THE DEVE LOPE R On a Personal Note We anticipate the traffic light installation to be completed in or around September 2020. In this issue of Grande Living, we want to extend a special congratulations to Margaret LaCalle, Coastal North Division President of LStar Ventures, Grande Dunes’ L IG H T IN G T H E WAY TO SA F E T Y development company. Such an honor could not have gone to a nicer person. O n behalf of the Grande Dunes Members Club we hope your first couple months of the new year have started off great and you have been happy, healthy and prosperous. At the end of the past year, a highly anticipated long wait finally came to an end and the much needed bunker renovation began. Many of us eagerly anticipated this long-awaited course improvement and we're happy to see it begin, but there is even more anticipation of when it will be completed! Things are going well with the reconstruction. The golf course will remain open with play limited to the 9 holes that the team are not working on, therefore, we will always have 9 holes open and available for Members to play. Already we have seen with this renovation the playability of the new bunkers are greatly improved, especially after a rainfall, which we recently experienced. This bunker renovation is just one aspect of our continuous effort to deliver excellent playing conditions to our members and their guests. A great way to start the New Year would be to consider joining the Members Club, or upgrading your current membership. We have many events and activities you are sure to enjoy while as a Social, Sport or Full golf member. Meet The Ocean Club's NEW EVENT EXPERT We are thrilled to have Lisa Browning Mitchell join the Grande Dunes family as our new Ocean Club Events and Sales Manager! She will be ensuring residents and guests alike have a fantastic time at the Ocean Club. If you're looking to have a wedding, private party, birthday, anniversary, bar mitzvah, etc., Lisa will make your dreams come true through a spectacular ceremony and celebration. Lisa comes to our community after a long, successful career in the hotel and hospitality industry, working for organizations in some of the country’s top destinations including New Orleans, Washington DC and Hawaii. At her most recent position, Director for Spruce Lake located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, she strategically maintained levels of hospitality to ensure all guests had an exceptional experience.
