As Chairman of the Toowoomba Turf Club it is my immense pleasure to welcome Members and guests to our premier race experience. The 2019 Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood
race day will again prove to be a highlight of the region’s social and racing calendars. For 129 years our region has celebrated our unique lifestyle with our classic mix of country racing
charm and sophisticated city indulgence. This year’s event will continue this trend, with our reserved dining areas a key focus.
Under the direction of our new chef, the menus for our premium reserved areas have been redeveloped to ensure our food offering and service better meets the expectations of our
Members and guests. We have included a couple of our menus in this information brochure to illustrate our focus on this important part of our premier race day.
Over the past 18 months, our team has been busy delivering much-needed improvements to our facilities and furnishings. Our new Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium will again serve
as our premier ‘sit-down’ dining option. I encourage you to reserve your place in this space early to avoid the disappointment of missing out. Additionally, over 1,000 new items of
furniture have arrived at Clifford Park and will help us to ensure all guests at this year’s event will enjoy the race day in greater comfort.
Once again, the Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood will host a week full of activities to celebrate racing in our region. These include our
ever-popular TAB Weetwood Golf Day, the family fun of the Breakfast with The Weetwood Stars community breakfast, the Barrier Draw and
Weetwood Mass.
Following on from our hugely successful sportsman’s lunches recently held in Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium, we again look forward to the
TAB Weetwood Calcutta Sportsman’s Luncheon – featuring former Queensland Maroon and Kangaroo champion Brent Tate. Over 200 guests
delivered a record Weetwood Calcutta prize pool last year, let’s see how high we can get this year!
