Super Girl Surf Pro
Beach Volleyball Tournament Recap
The first ever Super Girl Surf Pro Beach Volleyball
Tournament hosted at Jacksonville beach was a
huge success! 36 pairs competing across 4 divisions
in 2 days, this free registration tournament was truly
the perfect way to celebrate women and girls beach
volleyball! Apart from beach volleyball, this event
featured live music, an all-female DJ contest, a
women’s beach soccer tournament, and a women’s
skateboarding competition in addition to already
being the largest female-only professional surfing
contest in the country. We look forward to this event
returning next year and being even better!

November Event Recap
November 20th was the biggest tournament Sports Edge Beach has
had yet! Over 72 athletes came out to compete with all 10 courts in
use! The winners are as follows:

PAGE 4 - THE EDGE EXPRESS Holiday Hoops Basketball Camp The Sports Edge Basketball Camp will be directed by Bolles Head Varsity Basketball Coach, Jason Hughes. This camp will focus on the overall development of skills and fundamentals with station work, followed by individual and team contests throughout the week. We will have 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 tournaments with championships culminating during the final day of camp. Contests will include hotshot, FT, 3 pt, and many more. Awards will be given on the final day at the awards ceremony. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER High School Select Basketball Training This program is designed for high school athletes serious about their roles on their teams and who want a program that will help them accomplish their goals related to high school and beyond. Our high school trainings are for those high school- aged performers that seek to get the absolute most from their game. Athletes will improve by utilizing detailed evaluation, pace, and consistency throughout each workout. Emphasis will be placed on ball control, footwork, game concepts, and shooting. 3rd – 5th Grade Select December 3 - 5, 2021
Basketball Training Boys and Girls
Sports Edge in association with Blue Heat
This program is designed for athletes who have Basketball Academy will be hosting its second
experience in basketball at an early age. This Winter Slam Basketball Tournament at one facility

JJVA GIRLS TRAVEL TEAMS
HEADING TO THE
FLORIDA HOLIDAY CHALLENGE
The JJVA Girls Travel Teams will be heading to
Daytona Beach, FL to participate in the Florida
Holiday Challenge over the next two weekends.
All JJVA 12U-15U Travel teams will begin
competition on December 11-12 and all JJVA
16U-18U teams will compete the following
weekend on December 18-19. Teams have been
training hard over the last month in preparation
for the event and are looking forward to
competing against some of the best clubs in the
state of Florida. Sessions have been designed to COACH OF THE MONTH
train all teams in each age group by position as
well as including some in house scrimmages. All
of our teams recently received their uniform
packages for the season, with a special thank
you from all coaches and players to Matt
Blaylock at BIG'S Sports for being our uniform
provider. Best of luck to all teams as the 2021-22
Travel Tournament Season starts just next week!
Congratulations to JJVA 18 Teal Head Coach Meghan
Magnusson on being named our December Coach of
the Month. Meghan, a former JJVA player herself , has
been assisting Head Recruiting Coordinator CJ
Sherman with all of our athletes and their recruiting
process, and this season will bring a vast amount of
collegiate coaching experience and knowledge to
share with our 18U athletes this season. We are
extremely thankful to have you as part of our JJVA
Family!

TOP FINISHERS AT AAU GRAND PRIX
Congratulations to our JJVA Boys Travel Teams on their top finishes at the 2022 AAU
Grand Prix in Orlando, FL. Teams competed against some of the top AAU clubs in
the state of Florida. Director Ashley Monfort said: " I am extremely proud of our
teams and how hard they have been trainign over the past several months. Several
of our teams were able to compete with some of the best teams in our region, and
we are looking forward to competing at a national level in the coming months."

WINTER CLASSIC
The JJVA Boys Travel Team's will be taking part in the 2022 Orlando
Gold AAU Winter Classic this upcoming weekend December 5-6.
Under the direction of JJVA Boys Director Ashley Monfort our JJVA Boys
Travel Teams have competed in several events already this season
and are looking forward to competing against some of the top boys
clubs in the state of Florida this weekend. Best of luck to all teams this
weekend in Orlando!

BEGIN THEIR 2021-2022 SEASON
JJVA is proud to announce that this club season we
will have twenty-five teams competing in several
one-day tournaments throughout the 2021-2022
season. Teams have recently been training twice a
week in preparation for the first event in January,
and coaches have been excited with the progress
athletes have made already. Under the direction of
Club Program Director John Alipio who said, "It is so
exciting to see how this program has grown with all
of these athletes in the facility at once. I am
extremely grateful to all of the coaches and staff for
their assistance in helping to provide the best
