These associated resources can be L2 or l3 link associations or even a physical association. The use is able to select for example a switch in resource manager and through a new supporting porlet list the AP's on attached ports or other L2 or L3 attached devices. To use this feature 1 - Add the Managed Resource portlet to a page that already has a Managed Resource portlet that is broadcasting its context (example Resource page). You can rename this to "Associated Resources" by clicking the label 2 - Edit it by clicking the wrench icon in the upper left. 3 - Set context mode to "Listen for Context" 4- Set "Listen for" Managed Resource 5- Select Associated Resurce and/or L2, L3 6- Apply, Save and refresh the page Then select a resource in Managed Resources portlet. Any associated object should then populate the Associated Resource Portlet. • Performance Monitors: KPI and Default interface Monitors are now enabled automatically. This will help user by eliminating this step and device will be automatically monitored soon after being discovered. User should be aware that monitors impact system performance and the system need to be sized for the anticipated number of monitored targets. (PV-70219) • Discovery Enhancements: To reduce the chance for incomplete discovery of devices, the Discovery process will now perform a credential validation check when using the inspection option in a discovery profile. The icon to the far left of each inspected row will reflect the credential check status. You will also receive a message when one or more possible credentials have not been set been. For example, if only an SNMP credential is in the profile you may see a message indicating that a CLI and HTTP are valid but missing (PV-70213) Miscellaneous Enhancements • Warranty reporting for IDRAC utilizing Service tag is now supported. • IDRAC firmware updates now support the option to allow you to restart IDRAC (HD- 183350) • Bios deployment is now supported for Windows Operating systems (Client) The process requires WMI discovery of the OS and utilizes powershell capabilities to place a Dell BIOS executable file on the client 5

CruzOC Release Notes • The UI was enhanced to have a more intuitive search on standard portlet. The clickable word "Search" was replaced with a magnifying glass icon as better indicator for displaying the free text search field (PV-69807) • From the Group manager, you may now create static or dynamic grouping on ports, interface or cards. This group can then be used throughout the product. This is especially useful with automation rules where the source events that trigger an automation rule may need to be limited to a specific set of ports, interfaces or cards. To set a group in an automation rule, go to Automation /Actions-> right click -> New Automation –> General tab - set membership type to Group -> under Membership select the group (PV-42194) • With the addition of client support and Powershell in the previous release, the current release now has a pre-seeded hierarchy-tree nodes for Compute Endpoints with sub nodes for Laptops and Workstations sub-containers. Devices discovered as Laptop or PC/Workstation (typically discovered via WMI or WBEM), will now automatically be members if these containers. You may also create your own Hierarchy nodes or filters or groups based on the Resource type of Laptop or PC/Workstation. (HD-159798) • The base Redfish driver used to discover and manage BMC (IDRAC, XCC, ILO CMC etc.), has been improved to now report firmware versions for all BMC components. After discovery of an IDRAC for example, from the Resource Manager, you can right click -> Details where you will see a firmware section in the middle of the page listing component firmware versions. There is also a new report called "Redfish Firmware Inventory Report" that can run to list all the firmware versions across all BMC in your inventory. This feature is supported through basic Redfish API implementation by the vendor and support may vary. For IDRAC, versions higher than 2.60.60.60 are fully supported. (HD-11878) • OS10 top level show actions have been added (PV-69939) These are all combined under a single show action called "Dell EMC Networking OS10 Show" show acl-table-usage detail show ip arp show ip bgp show ip bgp neighbors show ip dhcp snooping binding show ip igmp snooping interface show ip ospf show ip ospf neighbor show lldp neighbors show mac address-table show monitor session all show port-channel summary show spanning-tree show system show telemetry show users 10
CruzOC Release Notes show vlan show vlt all show vrrp brief • A new OS10 VLT configuration action has been added called "Dell EMC Networking OS10 Create or Update VLT" (PV-69965). The OS10 devices support one VLT domain, if the end user doesn't know the VLT domain ID, the action will allow you to execute "show running- config VLT" to display the VLT domain ID priori to configuration The action will configure: VLT domain VLT MAC address VLT backup destination VLT discovery interfaces VLT priority VLT port channel Known Issues (9.0.0) • CA certs - If you have configured your environment to use CA Certificates, these may be overwritten during software upgrade. Please contact Dorado software before upgrading for steps on how to proceed with the upgrade. If you have already upgraded, the certs will need to be re-applied. Please contact Dorado software for assistance. This issue should be resolved in the next release (HD-183393, HD-183578 ) • The Performance TOP N Portlet may show interface BW utilization greater than 100% for VLAN interfaces. The performance data used for determining BW utilization relies on device configuration and SNMP data obtained from the device. Some devices return erroneous data resulting in incorrect calculations. If you encounter this issue, It is recommended that VLAN interfaces be excluded from the monitored entities in the Default Interface monitor. To exclude: Go to Settings -> Monitor Management -> Default Interface Monitor -> Edit -> Monitor Options tab -> On the “All Device” row on the right under Actions click on the interfaces icon (up and down arrows)-> Click the Green + and set Name does not contain VLAN. This will exclude interfaces with VLAN in the name. (HD-114544 • The User interface may have a missing a scrollbar when the UI has been zoomed in to far or the monitor resolution is too low. Zoom out or adjust resolution. (PV-70042) 11
CruzOC Release Notes Known Issues (8.0.1) • The pre-seeded set IGMP action is only working for N3xxx and N4xxx models in the N series. For other models this will need to be set via custom action or manually via CLI. (PV- PV-69592) • For stacked N4xxx models, the serial number may not be populated in the UI for stacked members. (PV-69748) • When "reboot to startup" during restore procedure for N1108EP device You may see "restore successful" but the device may not have actually reloaded. A manual reload may be required. (PV-37880) • The pre-seed action "Dell Networking (PCT) L2/L3(4.x or later) Set Radius Server Settings" will not work on the N11XX series due to syntax changes. The Action will be updated in the next release. (PV-37883) • OS 9.14.2 and OS 10.5.x – Firmware does not support standard VLAN data collection via SNMP. As a result under Resource Manager -> Equipment -> Details -> Network, the VLAN by ID will not show the associated ports and VLANs by Port will not show the associated VLAN. VLANs will need to be queried directly via CLI Direct Access or via action Script. (PV-30403) Known Issues (8.0.0) • Device warranty information returning mismatch between the actual warranty and contract info - if the Dell Warranty database has 2 records in their database that are essential for the name product/service that should correlate to each other. OMNM does not know how to do the correlation. (HD-38506) • When accessing some right click menu option from the Resource Manager on the home screen, the pop-up screen may be rendered off screen. As a workaround, before the operation, you can use Ctrl "-" to reduce the browser size and bring the pop-up into view. (31539) • When accessing the Equipment Alarm details page and choosing Equipment details, the data may not be displayed. You may go directly to the general tab instead to see equipment details. (31536) • If using Centos 7.5 and upgrading to OMNM 8.0, after installation you may encounter portlet exceptions like "500: java.io.IOException..." A system reboot may resolve the issue but there could be another cause. The Linux Command 'netstat' is deprecated in CentOS 7.5 and this may lead to improper shutdown of the application server resulting in this error. The workaround is to re-install net-tools with the following command as root: yum -y install net- tools. And then reboot the system. (31493) • Default Interface Monitor indicates partial results for Nutanix interfaces due to 0 value in ifSpeed MIB attribute (31424) • When using the Home page -> Resource Manager -> right click options (for example "New") the pop-up may appear off screen. Use "Ctrl + minus" to reduce the browser page size and bring the menu into view. This will be resolved in the next release. (30839) • Dell Support Assist Feature: The Getting Started portlet asks for information regarding the users Dell account. The "State/Province/Region" field is currently set as not a mandatory field, however if this field is not populated, the post discovery action to configure Support Assist will fail at Device Discovery time. Discovery will be successful, but Support Assist will not be configured on the target device(s). The work around is populate the field and run the Support Assist action for the Actions portlet.
