What's new in this issue: Final Creditorial!
We have decided to end the production of this
Employee News
newsletter in this format. Readership has been in
Community Corner decline & most people are finding it easier to read the
Loan Specials news items on our home page rather than hunt
Notifications down the Creditorial. Everything we cover here is
Tax refund direct deposit covered on the website home page and is easily
viewed by simply scrolling down the page!

Employee Spotlight
Meet our new Member Services Supervisor Zenaida Garcia!
Zenaida has been with WLFCU for just over a year and has proven to
be a valuable asset. She started as a Member Service Representative
but has quickly earned her promotion to supervisor. If you haven’t met
Z yet, say hello next time you are in the branch.
When she is not serving members Z enjoys cooking for and being
with her family. And she loves getting outdoors….when it is warm!
Community Corner
One of the guiding principles of the credit union movement is “People
helping People”. With the help of members and staff, WLFCU was
able to make these donations to support our community in 2021:
CT Women of Hope – One of our quarterly donation for dress down
day went to this group which supports women diagnosed with ovarian
cancer.
Adopt-A-Family – We donated one of our dress
down day checks to the town of Windsor locks
to support the holiday Adopt-A-Family program.
This program provides gifts to deserving
families.
Project Elf – We WL Dollars for Scholars – Shred Day – We provided a
collected toys for the Emari Marshal was the 2021 free paperwork shredding day at
town’s holiday gift giving recipient of the WLFCU annual WL High School and collected
program Project Elf. scholarship. non-perishable food donations
for the WL Food Bank.
Stuff the Bus – We collected school supplies for the town’s drive to
provide supplies to children who struggle to afford school supplies.
Junior Achievement – Credit union staff volunteered with Junior
Achievement to conduct virtual financial literacy education.

We’d like to start off the New Year by rewarding you, our valued members. With our new Member Loyalty
Discount Loan Program you can save up to 1% off of your approved consumer loan rate by meeting some
or all of our loyalty points.
Take .25% off approved rate for membership of over 1 year
Take .25% off approved rate for membership of over 5 years
Take .25% off approved rate for an active checking account*
Take .25% off approved rate for direct deposit**
Take the full 1% off approved rate if you check all 4 boxes!
*Active Checking account means open for at least 6 months with transaction activity.
**Direct deposit must be weekly or bi-weekly and must total at least $250 per deposit.
This program is for all consumer loans except debt consolidation. This special offer starts December 27, 2021 and
runs through January 31, 2022. Loans must close by February 14, 2022 to qualify. No refinancing of current WLFCU
loans is allowed for this promotion.

account with a minimum balance of $25 is required for this special. Membership is open to anyone who

Any time we are closed for any reason, planned or emergency, remember that we have a night drop
available next to our drive-up ATM. And our online and mobile banking is always available along

Mobile Notifications
WLFCU has upgraded your mobile banking app to
include Mobile Notifications. Sign in and open the
menu. You’ll find “Notifications” under “Services”.
Choose “enable” to set your own notifications for
checking or savings balance alerts, loan payment
reminders, and more. Sign in and check it out!
