About Accounting Beyond Borders Accounting Beyond Borders is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to serving the accounting and business needs of missionaries and their ministries around the world by providing an array of services tailored to comprehensively serve each organization. About five years ago, God planted a seed in the heart of our founder, Courtney Weaver, when she was traveling on a sport’s ministry trip to Panama through AROMA Missions. It was on that trip that she was introduced to Dan and Jess Cotton who run Rio Missions and who told her that the biggest need of their ministry at the time was someone to perform the accounting and business needs of their organization. They had to spend a lot of time performing accounting and administrative tasks for their ministry rather than pouring into the heart of it and it was huge burden. At that moment, the Lord planted a seed and shortly after the organization Accounting Beyond Borders was formed. We have experienced a lot of growth since then but our mission and vision from the Lord remain the same. Our Mission: To empower missionaries to more fruitfully serve God’s Kingdom by fulfilling their accounting needs and walking with them in ministry. Our Vision: To relieve the burden of accounting stress on missionaries around the world and propel their ministries to sustained growth and success. We desire to be active participants in the Growth of the Kingdom! About the Ministries We Serve in Panama Rio Missions is an organization whose mission is to glorify God by helping local Christians realize their vision for change. Run by Dan and Jess Cotton, their mission is to Cultivate relationships with local Panamanians in poor and marginalized communities – Connect likeminded groups with these visionaries to provide resources and encouragement – Change the worldviews of both sides in the process. We have been serving Rio Missions since May 2014 and are excited to introduce you to their ministry and the place where Accounting Beyond Borders was born! We will also have the blessing of being hosted by Rio Missions on the Vision Trip and staying at their mission base! ‐3‐
About the Ministries We Serve in Panama (continued) Heart’s Cry Children’s Ministry is an organization whose mission is to find forever families for the abandoned, but not forgotten, children of Panama. They are run by Matt and Misty Hedspeth and provide adoption and foster care services through heart’s cry family services, serve orphans under heart’s cry orphan care, and just opened the first special needs orphanage in Panama called Casa Providencia to minister to Panama’s special needs orphans. We have been serving Heart’s Cry Children’s Ministry since July 2015 and have been moved by the way God has grown their organization in the last few years. We are excited to take you to the orphanage and see God’s impact there! Advance Panama is an organization run by Graham and Nicole Davis that provides access to higher education for some of Panama’s most underprivileged students. Their mission is to advance Panama, its people, and its communities through education and strategic relationships and they believe that by sharing love in a practical way, they can educate people out of poverty and make change possible against all odds. We are just beginning our relationship with Advance Panama and hope to be able to spend time hearing more of their story and serving alongside of them on the Vision Trip! Their personal faith story is powerful and they remind us what it looks like to trust in the Lord completely. Contact Information Thank you for your interest in our 2019 Vision Trip!
