Announcements UPDATE: Running for Parkinson’s: 250km in 30 days Dear church family, On December 19, I launched a fundraiser to raise awareness for Parkinson’s by running 250km in 30days. My grandpa was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago and I have seen the effect this disease can have on the individual, family and friends. A large part of Parkinson’s disease is difficulty with movement which can make everyday activities harder. Physical activity is also important for improving motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s. By running 250km in 30 days, I hope to bring awareness to Parkinson’s and the struggles that come along with it. My fundraising goal is $7,500, that means 1km=$30. As of January 5, I have raised $6,295 and have ran 166.8km. I am so grateful for all the support I have received so far and continue to receive. Please consider joining me to make a difference in the lives of those affected with Parkinson’s disease. I am fundraising through Parkinson Canada and my fundraising page can be found at http://donate.parkinson.ca/goto/RunningforParkinsons. I have also created a personal page with more information about my fundraiser as well as a way to keep everyone updated regarding the progress. My personal page is: https://runningforparkinsons.weebly.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
