COVID-19: what you need to know

Hotspot and restrictions update

The Cairns and Yarrabah and South East Queensland lockdowns have now lifted.
Ongoing restrictions still apply within these local government areas, including
capacity limits and mask wearing. Mask wearing requirements still apply to people
who may have been in these areas and have since travelled elsewhere in the state
(until 14 days have passed since they left the impacted area/s).

Queensland has current contact tracing alerts and related public health advice for
people who have been in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

New South Wales and Victoria remain declared COVID-19 hotspots and travellers
who have been in these states cannot enter Queensland. Returning Queenslanders
are allowed to return but must quarantine in a hotel for 14 days on their return.
      Latest information.

Queensland has reopened its border to South Australia to travellers arriving by
flights only. More details will be provided soon on the Travelling in Queensland
      webpage.

Support for businesses

Small, medium and not-for-profit businesses across all industry sectors will be able
to apply for a Queensland COVID-19 cleaning rebate of up to 80 per cent of the cost
of professional cleaning (up to $10,000 ex GST) if their business is a confirmed
      COVID-19 exposure site.

The Australian Department of Health has developed a COVID-19 vaccination
business kit which offers a variety of resources that businesses can use to promote
the importance of the COVID-19 vaccination program among their staff and guests.
