Overwhelmed by emotion, I felt what Italians call il richiamo del sanguei (the call of the blood) - the desire to return to the land of my ancestors. That evening, I was inspired to start a ven- ture in this fascinating country! While there are many travel events that attract Italians around the world, I wanted to bring the world to Italy. As a tribute to the excellence of Italian tourism, DUCO Travel Summit was created. This publication is an invitation for you to take part in this insatiable love for Italy which is at the heart of DUCO. Welcome to Italy, we are most appre- ciative to have you here at the first annual DUCO Travel Summit! Non ci sono altre parole se non un grazie davvero di cuore. Carolina Perez Founder of Duco

Chef Bottura intervenes before disaster can strike. He says, “Taka, don’t you see?! It’s so beautiful!” He makes a picture frame with his hands and the perfect mess becomes a piece of abstract art. Very quickly, the team rebuilds two new lemon tarts to look exactly like the smashed version.
