IULM University has been training corporate communication professionals for more than 30 years. The Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communication and Public Relations focuses on a variety of skills: it looks at how businesses are organised and run by studying management, marketing and business law; it examines social and market dynamics with courses on sociology, consumer psychology and market analysis; and it teaches students how to dialogue with the media, influencers and public opinion by providing them with top-notch communication and public relations training. In addition, the programme helps students develop: • Digital skills necessary in today’s media environment • English and foreign languages proficiency • Cross cultural skills • Personal communication skills such as professional writing The programme is offered both in English and Italian. TEACHING METHODS AND FACULTY Coursework is based on a strong mix of lectures, case studies, workshops and seminars. The faculty is made up of scholars as well as communication professionals.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Graduates in Corporate Communication and Public Relations can expect to work in private companies or public organizations in the field of marketing or corporate communication, as well as agencies specialised in communication services (advertising, PR, events, digital marketing and social media management). ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma obtained after at least 12 years of schooling. English proficiency (B2 level) is required: (e.g. IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 87-109 or IULM online testing). Students will be admitted based on admission test scores and high school grades. TUITION FEES AND FINANCIAL AID Tuition fees for international students are € 8,400 per year. ForItalian students, t uition fees are determined on the basis of ISEE. Scholarship opportunities and tuition reductions are available for qualified students.

The Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication allows students to gain core skills for the most important areas of corporate communication. Students will be able to develop business and managerial competencies in strategic communication. FACULTY Our Faculty professors are academics and practitioners highly specialized in the main areas of Strategic Communication and with an extensive international teaching experience. DUAL DEGREE AND EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITIES Dual Degree opportunities have been developed in cooperation with Huddersfield University and Cardiff Metropolitan University. Further opportunities of exchange will be offered at Universitè Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), Lund University (Sweden), Leeds University (UK), Royal Roads University (Canada), University of Technology Sidney (Australia) among others. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES The Master’s degree in Strategic Communication will train students to become highly qualified professionals and managers able to play different roles such as: Strategic Communication Manager, responsible for planning and coordinating communication strategies. Global Reputation Manager, responsible for developing and constantly improving a brand or business reputation. Communication Specialist, responsible for planning and coordinating communication activities in a specific area. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 ECTS in Communication studies, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology or equivalent. Proof of English proficiency (B2 level) is required: e.g. IELTS 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 87-109, or at least 12 credits in English language modules. Applicants with the above mentioned qualifications will be invited for an admission interview in order to evaluate the level of competencies. TEACHING METHODS The teaching methods have a strong practical orientation and are based on projects developed by organizations for group activities and discussion of case studies. The 1st year, is held at IULM University in Milan. The 2nd year offers three choices for specialization. Specialization in Hospitality and Tourism Management, at University of Central Florida in Orlando, US. Upon completion students earn a double degree: Italian (Laurea Magistrale) and American (Master of Science) as well as the possibility of staying in the US after graduation for a year of work in the tourism sector. Specialization in Digital Technologies and Data for Tourism and Creative Industries at IULM University. Upon completion students earn an Italian degree (Laurea Magistrale). Specialization in Sustainable Destination Management and Communication. Upon completion students earn an Italian degree (Laurea Magistrale). Students that decide to complete the entire two-year course at IULM still have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in one of our partner universities or with an internship.
TEACHING MIX AND FACULTY The teaching mix comprises 10% distance learning to acquire basic knowledge; 20% traditional lectures and 70% hands-on practice and training in a company. Two thirds of the faculty is made up of professors from partner universities and visiting professors from major schools of hospitality and one third managers from leading companies of tourism industries. A wide range of innovative elective courses lets you design a customized study plan. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Managerial and entrepreneurial roles in leading tourism companies worldwide (hotel chains, cruise companies, airlines, companies in the MICE industry, business & leisure travel, travel agency networks, tourist destination promotion agencies and consulting firms specializing in tourism). Leadership roles in tourism promotion agencies, destination management companies and institutions in charge of regional development. The strong involvement of foremost tourism companies makes it possible for students to sharpen their profiles in those areas of expertise most sought-after in the current labor market. A 6 month customized internship opens a fast track for entry into the world of work. In addition, the course supports students in starting new businesses, through the incubator IULM Innovation Lab.
