How is Coronavirus (COVID-19) transmitted? Transmission happens from person-to-person, when one of them is sick, by close contact (about two meters) or through: Contaminated Touching objects or Sneeze or shaking surfaces hands Droplets of Exchange Cough of mucosal saliva fluid How long does it take for symptoms to appear? The incubation period – the time between the day of contact with the sick person and the beginning of symptoms – is, on average, 5 days for COVID-19. In rare cases, the incubation period has reached 14 days. The first 3 to 5 days of symptoms beginning are the most transmissible days. Therefore, suspected cases should remain quarantined for a period of 14 days, or longer if symptoms persist. 2
What are the main symptoms? Coronavirus (COVID-19) is similar to the flu. It usually is a mild or moderate disease, but some cases can be serious. The most common symptoms are: Fever Cough Stuffy nose Sore throat Body aches Difficulty breathing Is there already treatment against Coronavirus (COVID-19)? There is no no cure, vaccine, or virus-specific medication. Please consult a medical professional for advice on treating the illness. 3
How to prevent being infected: Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or sanitize with hand sanitizer for 20 seconds. When coughing or sneezing, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your arm, not your hands. If you are sick, avoid physical contact with other people and stay at home until you get better. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your unwashed hands. When touching, always wash your hands as indicated. Do not share personal items such as cutlery, towels, plates and glasses. Avoid greeting people with hugs, kisses, and handshakes. Avoid crowds and keep rooms ventilated. Avoid contact with elderly if you experience any of the symptoms of COVID-19. Make use of hand sanitizer constantly on your hands, and wipe down equipment/objects that are used daily, such as keyboard, cell phone, etc, with 70% alcohol or another disinfectant. 4
Travels All international travel must be canceled or postponed until the next announcement. ational travel should be avoided. In case of extreme need, N it must be approved by the director of the area. Any employee arriving from international travel – whether personal or working – from at-risk countries according to US Government (listed below) should work from home for two weeks, even without symptoms of the virus: all European countries, Australia, Canada, China, North Korea, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Finland, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, United Kingdom, San Marino, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, United States of America and Mexico. When in the kitchen, use the following precautions: Use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the room. Do not chat with colleagues or on the cellphone when preparing your food. o not place your phone on the counter when inside the D kitchen. Be careful not to cough or sneeze over the kitchen equipment’s or food. Protect your mouth with your arm or a tissue. If possible, avoid the busiest hours of the kitchen. 5

If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, body aches, or difficulty breathing, contact your immediate supervisor. What to do if you have a suspicion or confirmation of the virus? hatever the case, immediately inform your leader. W Leaders must inform any of the Committee members listed below. If someone close to you (including immediate family members, children, spouses, or people in constant contact) has confirmation of Coronavirus, stay at home and contact your direct leader for guidance. If the virus is suspected, do not come to work and immediately contact your leader. In case there is a confirmation of the virus in any department, the Committee will be responsible for definition of who should stay at home for a period of two weeks, and the cleaning team must sanitize the entire department with 70% alcohol. Stay calm but watch out! Coronavirus infection is a low-lethal disease. WHO data shows that 80% of cases are mild. The biggest concern is when the disease affects the elderly or people with chronic diseases. Information and washing hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer are the best preventions. 7
How to wash your hands: 1 Apply enough soap to your palm. 2 Lather your palms, rubbing them together. 3 Rub the palm of your right hand against the back of your left hand (and vice versa), interlacing your fingers. 8
4 Interlace your fingers and rub the webbing between them. 5 Rub your right thumb with the help of your left palm (and vice versa), using a circular motion. 6 Rub the nails and cuticles of the left hand against the palm of the right hand, cupped (and vice versa), making a circular motion. 9
7 Rub your left wrist with the help of your right palm (and vice versa), using a circular motion. 8 Rinse your hands, removing soap residue. Avoid direct contact of soapy hands with the tap. 9 Dry your hands with disposable paper towels, starting with your hands and then with your wrists.
