Dos and Don’ts of all SAVE Network Partners Dos • Communication • Keep the community informed about your activities: • Send reports of your activities for the quarterly eNews • Use of social media: Strengthen the community and the coverage of the messages through • Likes and interaction. Give your messages to the SAVE offices to share them, if you do not • publish it through your own account. • The SAVE PO And NO are ready to share any questions, findings, news. • Participate with your ideas, conflicts and questions at the annual meetings
• Alarming • if you get information relevant to the European stakeholders, tell it. This is also relevant for • regional cross‐border incidents and actions. • Media/Public Communication • In statements, releases and/or declarations on current events related to agrobiodiversity at • transnational or EU level, the SAVE Network agrees on a common formulation or an identical • wording, in particular for the media.
• Cross Border Project Implementation – If you act cross‐border inform your SAVE partner across the border about what you plan to do to – avoid misunderstandings and strengthen a collegial cooperation. • Fundraising – The SAVE PO and NO inform all partners about relevant fundraising opportunities as soon as the – offices get information. The Network partners inform the SAVE offices and/or partners about any – fundraising opportunities relevant for the network.
Donts • Promotion and Protection of a Breed/Variety – If you create a label to promote a breed/variety be careful: You can make a protection on products, but not on the breed itself. The latter leads to a ban of use of the breed outside the label. – community what is diametrically opposed to the SAVE network principle of dissemination of breeds and varieties. • Fundraising – Avoid concurrence with the network partners through fundraising in the region of activity of the SAVE partner without information and/or inclusion of the network partner.
