It is a safe sport that holds great interest for the “intellectual athlete”. Participants must be at least 6 years of age and be able to swim one or more of the competitive strokes non-stop. The participants will be swimming multiple lengths of 25 yards in a practice. Swim Team participants will be swimming independently in the water. This is not a learn to swim class. Swim Meets will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Water Exercise Summer Classes Solon Community Center Members including Silver Sneakers, Renew Activ, Silver and Fit are eligible to take part in any of the Solon Recreation Water Exercise Program classes at no additional cost. SCA SUMMER ARTS CAMPS MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP GOING INTO GRADES 3 - 9 This popular five-week camp will introduce the basic principles of acting, singing and movement as students will work towards producing an hour long production. Twirling Tots (Ages 2-4) With a focus on rhythmic Creative Movement (Ages 4-6) Creative Movement awareness, active movement and basic coordination, this class introduces children to the basics of ballet, tap, and creative for little ones will provide a fun and engaging introduction to forms of movement. SPRING YOUTH THEATER SCA Dance Class Descriptions 15TH ANNUAL SCA ONE-ACT FESTIVAL GRADES 2 - 8 The SCA One-Act Festival will be the result of The 15th Annual SCA Playwriting Competition. This production will feature original One-Act plays written by young playwrights from North East Ohio and performed by SCA’s Youth Theater students. Sign Ups and Materials: All students who register will receive a role. Roles will be assigned after the first rehearsal/group auditions. Please sign your child up before the first rehearsal. Limit 25 - 30 students depending on winning shows. Students will be broken down into smaller cast sizes. Enrollment Opens: Monday, March 6 @ 12:00 PM First Rehearsal/Group Auditions: Monday, April 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Rehearsals: Rehearsal days/times will be announced later but will be held April 5 - May 26 *Students must be available to rehearse at least one to two days a week.
