SCHOOL SUPPLY INFORMATION 2019-2020
Dear Christ the King Families:

Attached is the School Supply List for the 2019-2020 school year. As you will notice, we
have once again removed all cleaning supplies, storage supplies, Kleenex, reams of paper,
etc. to help make school supply shopping and the 1st day of school easier for CKS
students and families. There were also several items that many teachers asked for
(pencils, Sharpies, Post-It Notes, glue sticks, etc.) so we removed those supplies as well
and will order them in bulk at a less expensive rate.

HASA will purchase all of the paper products, cleaning and storage supplies (i.e.
Kleenex, paper towels, disinfecting wipes, storage baggies, hand sanitizer, reams of
paper, etc.), pencils, Sharpies, Post-It Notes, glue sticks, etc. in bulk, at a discounted rate.
Parents will be responsible for purchasing the remainder of the school supplies,
which you will see on the list below.
We hope this will make school supply shopping more simplified. We also envision this
helping families as they bring all supplies in on the first day of school.

You will notice on Picture Day, you will be responsible for paying a $20.00 school
supply fee for each child. This fee will cover all the bulk supplies which will be
distributed not only to classroom teachers but specials teachers as well. Thank you in
advance for helping make each classroom stocked with all the supplies necessary to
create a fun and enriching academic environment.

Note from all teachers:

Please label the younger children’s backpacks and lunch boxes. No rolling backpacks or
backpacks with wheels. They won’t fit in the lockers or cubbies. Thanks!

Note from the P.E. Dept:

All students change their shoes for P.E. Shoes should be clean shoes used for indoors
only. Shoes do not have to be new.

Starting in grade 2, students change their clothes for P.E. Students need a T-shirt (no
sleeveless) and shorts that are mid-thigh in length (6” inseam for 6-8 grades, and 5”
inseam for 2-5 grades). Students may also wear sweatpants and/or sweatshirts.

Note from the Art Dept:

For students in grades 4 and up: Students take their sketchbook home for the summer.
It can be used again if it is in good condition, has enough pages, and is spiral bound.

Note from the Music Dept:

For students in grades 4 and up: Students may continue to use the previous year’s 3-
subject notebook if it is in good condition and has enough pages. All notebooks that
need to be replaced will be sent home before summer break.

Note from the Media Centers:

All headphones purchased should have a “straight” prong or jack on the end, not and
“L” shaped prong or jack. Please place these headphones in a Ziploc baggie labeled with
your child’s name. Thank you!
