CHAT AND HAPPENINGS June 2018 Hello! As we roll into our summer months, The Shores has been very busy! Have you had an opportunity to meet all of your new neighbors?? There have been so many new faces around! The grounds are really starting to look fabulous. Thank you to the Garden Club of Ocean City for filling our pots around the building. They really looks beautiful! We are going to be working on the veranda off the second floor classroom and laundry area. We have the table and chairs up there and will be adding some umbrellas, beautiful planters and really sprucing it up. That area of our community is so underused and I would love to see it utilized more often. Some residents have requested our medical director, Dr. Charles Roche join us at one of our town hall meetings to get to know him. He will be joining us at the June 14 th meeting. This is your opportunity to meet him and ask questions that may help you decide if you would like to switch to an in-house physician. Coming up in July we will spend our town hall meeting reviewing the results of the resident satisfaction survey. This gives us an opportunity to review our areas we are excelling in, but also allows us to give you our action plans for the areas that have opportunity. With the warmer months, some residents like to feed the birds and squirrels. I would like to remind you, it is our policy to not feed the wild life. This has an effect on the grounds, as there are more bird droppings. In addition, we have some residents who share balconies. It is not fair to residents if they are not able to enjoy their own outdoor spaces. I continue to work on our cabana for the beach and look forward to kicking off beach season with our beach goers. Warmly, Jessica
