WHAT IS Champion Chats?
Champion Chats is Classroom Champions’ fundraising luncheon event held to support high-need classrooms
across Western Canada. Champion Chats connects business leaders with professional and Olympic/Paralympic
athletes through inspiring discussions about overcoming adversity, achieving excellence, team dynamics and
personal growth. Champion Chats features a lively moderator and a diverse panel of athlete mentors.
All Champion Chats 2019 proceeds will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the generosity of a Classroom
Champions donor.

WHO IS Classroom Champions?
Based in Calgary since 2011, Classroom Champions has connected 150 elite athletes to more than 35,000
underserved students, supported 1,500+ classrooms, and engaged thousands of families and their surrounding
communities across North America, all so our children can achieve successful futures.
Our year long, in-class mentoring program brings Athletes to students’ classrooms, building:
• Citizenship and leadership skills
• Academic acehievement and enhanced technology skills
• Teachers’ and students’ growth mindset; the belief that basic abilities can be developed through
dedication and hard work
We help at-risk students learn how to set and reach their goals,
persevere through adversity, and Dream Big!

WHY SUPPORT Champion Chats?
Everyone needs a champion in their corner. Someone to cheer them on, pick them up when they stumble, and
inspire them to dream big. With Classroom Champions, the best athletes in the world mentor classrooms of kids
who greatly need another encouraging voice in their lives. Athletes can be role models for the, to give the skills
to thrive in AND outside of the classroom.
Kids who never dared to hope before are believing in themselves, and stepping up to do better...
and better and better.
WHAT WILL YOUR support DO?
1. Provide an athlete mentor and role model to kids in underserved classrooms across WESTERN CANADA
2. Students receive monthly video lessons on resilience, persistence, goal-setting, dealing with adversity,
giving back to the community and healthy living, and have live chats with their athlete mentor
3. Teachers receive Classroom Champions community support and enriched curriculum
4. Your company logo is placed on the sleeves of Classroom Champions t-shirts
5. Technology and school supplies will be given to the classroom, students and teacher
6. You and your team will receive updates about student activities and progress so you can share in the
awesome impact you are making in the lives of kids!

Champions ambassador, passionate sports fan, and gifted community leader, the late
