Captain Tom Moore You fought in the war Brining joy to others Many times before. Awards were given Songs were sung Money was raised Everything going strong Everyone is thankful NHS are grateful Coronavirus is not away But tomorrow will be a good day. Skye Kehoe-Wardle (7B2)
In the mist of our pandemic world, a beacon of hope, Captain Tom Moore His efforts will not be missed, as many others looked up to him as our world saw, His fundraising made a magnificent start to the parting Of the clouds that we call ‘Covid’ His efforts will not be in vain. Many watched as he stepped up to the queen, his knighting ceremony was all that was seen The televisions bombarded with requests to watch the same show, now that is all that we know Respected by everyone, he was the only one His efforts will not be in vain. As the year grew to an end, and 2021 began, Tom Moore tried harder and harder to raise as much money he can However, all we can do is sit and stand As the days grew longer, everyone’s dreams grew stronger, thanks to Captain Tom His efforts will not be in vain. As February began however, people saw what they were all dreading The news was all on every heading. Newspapers, shows, everyone knew what happened to Captain Tom, his time was due COVID-19 and pneumonia, together like buddies, finished off the man we call Captain Tom Moore His efforts will not be in vain. Evie Morris (7B2)
As the golden coin goes down, A new generation starts. The sunshine is bright and the stars shine, Ambition grows in the community combined. 100 laps, here we go! Until the last breath, here we go. Never surrendered & never gave up, The goal is finally in my hands. A goal that turned into a reality, A goal with indulgence. A £30 million pounds raised in the sky. A hero we admire. He was the captain from our ship, And the path to our future. We are in this together. And long life our legend “Tomorrow will be a good day.” Gabriella Puccinelli-Rosas (7B2)
Captain Sir Tom Moore Really was the greatest, He went on a walk round his garden And really put himself to the test. He went the extra mile To raise money for charity, He surpassed £30 million pounds With donations to help everybody. He was a true war hero Head and shoulders above the rest, A truly inspirational man He really was one of the best. He sang a chart-topping song With opera singer Michael Ball, When he was knighted by the Queen He stood proud and tall. He was a bright shining beacon For all of us to see, He gave us someone to admire Hope, for you and me. He was a true inspirational hero The best we saw by far, We will never, ever forget him He’ll always be close to our hearts. Poppy Stevenson (7B2)

Captain Tom, you didn’t deserve death, Captain Tom, you were a hero to most, Captain Tom, take one more breath, Captain Tom, we wish you weren’t diagnosed. Captain Tom, we appreciate your deeds, Captain Tom, your amazing accomplishment, Captain Tom, when the NHS needs, Captain Tom, around your garden you went. Kiya Wilkinson (7B2) Captain Tom Moore, oh how we adore, You set a task of walking 2.5k To raise £1,000 for the NHS, Was his only plan. Considered by many a veteran of war Captain Tom Moore, oh how we adore. You fought hard and long, You were inspiration, true right to the core. And despite your age, you were amongst the strong Captain Tom Moore, oh how we adore. Though Covid and pneumonia was too much for you, You were loved by your family and your friends. Your military prowess has now vanished in a swat, After the troubles you worked as hard as a sales man, For the roof panelling. As you were the best man there without any challenging. It was soon that you met your lovely wife, Pamela was her name, the love of your life. You became married to her after the horrible times, But you should make new memories now as the church bells chime. You visited her every day for five years. As she fell ill you cried solemn tears. You children Hannah and Lucy now had no mother to call theirs. You raise their heads as you were a positive extraordinaire. You looked to the future ahead and soon you were classed as a hero, Always number one, never a zero. Once a boy from Keighly Yorkshire, now you’re everywhere. A dog called Billy and Uncle Williams your friend. Thomas you were always active and always out of bed. Once you fell over on a train line But got back up for the 4 mile bike ride ahead. Riding your motorbike through broken trees in the jungle. Biking to send messages to the government without a fumble. World War 2 seized you in India. You walked through the barren area like an unseen ninja. As your friends and enemies fell down. You checked some of the positive side without a frown. You came back with a shocked face. What you had seen couldn’t be translated by trace. You raised £30 million for charity, With the nation on your back whom you single-handedly carried, A walking frame and a new hip too. You walked 100 laps through and through, “Tomorrow will be a good day” that’s what you said. When you came into our lives we raised our worried heads.
Through the Covid-19 pandemic and “through the storm”, We now found a new bright lamp from our once depressed form. Tom sang a song from Gerry Marsden. You sang it peacefully without any fathom. You are now called the nation’s own. So Remember Tom, “You’ll never walk alone.” Charlie Wilde (7B2)
