THE ORANGE COUNTY MUSTANG CLUB In 1987 a group of individuals, who appreciated the beauty and performance of the Ford Mustang, joined together to form the Orange County Mustang Club. Their purpose was to promote the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of the Ford Mustang. To perpetuate this goal members, pay early dues, meet monthly, promote car shows, hold social activities, take cruises, and attend parades and other activities to foster their love for the Ford Mustang. Any person who owns or appreciates the Ford Mustang, no matter what model or year, is welcome to join, Ownership is not obligatory, but enthusiasm is. A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT Welcome to 2021 Orange County Mustang Club! April has arrived and the weather getting better every day. I hope this finds everyone staying healthy and safe with your families. We started the year slow with the continued pandemic, but as things continue to improve and restrictions being lifted things are looking brighter! We continue to keep busy with our cruises and evening events, so our Ponies are not collecting dust in the garages. The car show season is very quickly stabilizing as we are now seeing the return of weekly cruises and car shows being scheduled. During the month of March, we were fortunate to keep busy. We had our first ever cruise out to the March AFB museum and Riverside National Cemetery. Both venues very impressive. The National Cemetery was very impressive, and it was an honor to visit the gravesite of our loved ones. We followed this up with our first indoor general meeting at Zito’s. With the new configuration of the room it worked out extremely well. The balance of the year is really shaping up to be quite busy for the club and be another record year. We have 3 car shows, yes 3 show scheduled. Registration for our return to the Cruisin @ the Enderle Center is filling up quickly. We will sell out at 230 vehicles so do not miss out! Both on-line and mail in. Fliers are printed and being distributed already. This will be our 2nd year at the Enderle Center. Last year’s show was a huge success. This will be followed up with our return to Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa. A big thank you to Tom Glockner for making this happen. We have some special things lined up for this show as well. We will then have our 30th, yes 30th Mustang Madness car show at Ken Grody in Buena Park. The 2020 show saw our largest turn out in registrations and spectators and we hope to top that this year again. Aside from the car shows we know how everyone in the club enjoys a cruise so we have several lines up for the rest of the year including the Clean Air Cruise to Arrowhead. The 2021 board is working hard to make this another great year for the OCMC. Keep in mind we are always looking for volunteers to help out. Whether at one of our car shows or helping out on a cruise or poker run. Please keep your eyes posted on our club website ( www.ocmustangclub.org ) as well as our Facebook page for announcements. The OCMC - the premier car club in Southern California. Here is to a great recovery in 2021! Paul Montesano OCMC President 2021 4

The Outlaw Corner On Sunday Feb 14th, I held my yearly Outlaw Daytona 500 party. We had beautiful weather and a great turnout. What better place to be on “Valentine’s Day”: Dirty Jeff’s Garage, “The Place for Love...and oil changes”. We celebrated the Birthdays of Rick Johnson and Pace Car Mike. Pace Car broke his own record for the number of Jager Bombs ingested in one hour. I won’t give the number, as I want to preserve his marriage. Let’s just say he took a nap and would have missed the entire race had it not been rain delayed for five hours. The hot tub was open and heavily attended. The Following Saturday we did my yearly “Wine Cruise” to Temecula. Another Big turnout on a perfect So Cal Day. After running Carbon Canyon we hit the Tilted Kilt for lunch. They gave us the entire back patio, which we filled. Marko Liu and his wife Cheryl won the Free Cocktail prize for being the first ones there. NO it’s NOT a race: They did the speed limit and just happened to be there first. Or something like that. After lunch we hit our Outlaw Winery, the Belle Vino Winery in the Temecula wine country. We had so many people that the Winery Staff got nervous and had us space out our group outside, to avoid getting in trouble with the Covid police. We all enjoyed the live music and great scenery, and of course the bottles of wine. Thanks to all that attended ! Written by Jeff Grant 14

The Funny Bukkit FINALLY…THE BLONDE JOKE TO END ALL BLONDE JOKES! A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer, who was also a blonde. The blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver’s license. She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated. ‘What does it look like?’ she finally asked. The policewoman replied, ‘It’s square and it has your picture on it.’ The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman. ‘Here it is,’ she said. The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, “OK, you can go. I didn’t realize you were a cop…” Ever wonder why the word funeral starts with FUN? Why isn't a Fireman called a Water-man? How come Lipstick doesn't do what it says? If money doesn't grow on trees, how come Banks have Branches? If a Vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a Humanitarian eat? How do you get off a non-stop Flight? Why are goods sent by ship called CARGO and those sent by truck SHIPMENT? Why is it called 'Rush Hour' when traffic moves at its slowest then? How come Noses run and Feet smell? Why do they call it a TV 'set' when there is only one? What are you vacating when you go on a vacation? I never called you stupid, but when I asked you to Spell “ORANGE” and you asked me the fruit or color… it kinda caught me off guard. 17
