Presidents Message
It is a great honour to be entrusted with the presidency of Cork Constitution for the coming
season and one that I am looking forward to with great enthusiasm. That said, given the
impact the Coronavirus has had on our everyday lives, it’s a season laced with uncertainty
and great challenges.
To that end I have no doubt all of our members, spread across a vibrant juvenile section,
through the youths and into the adult arm of the club, will rally to the cause in order to
provide meaningful rugby for all our players ranging from those taking their first steps in the
game right through to the senior side.
Cork Constitution has a long and proud tradition across the rugby spectrum in Munster and
Ireland and has contributed greatly to the fabric of the game in this country and beyond. We
pride ourselves in the welcome afforded to all visitors to Temple Hill and given the reduced
format of this season’s Energia All Ireland League, with less home fixtures, the arrival of all
clubs from near and far will be welcomed even more enthusiastically.
Energia proved an outstanding new partner in their inaugural season as AIL sponsors in
2019/20, despite the complications imposed by the pandemic, and one hopes they get the
support they deserve with the new initiatives introduced in a much changed fixtures calendar
this time out.
Covid-19 has already had a significant financial impact on all sporting organisations and has
served to highlight even more forcibly the vital role our sponsors play in keeping the club
game alive in this country.
To that end, we are extremely fortunate to have such a loyal and committed backer in
Kearys Hyundai in a relationship that now enters it’s eight season. Likewise the juvenile
section of the club has benefitted massively from the generous support we have received
from Zurich over the past number of years and we are thrilled that they too have committed
to supporting this key sector of the club once again.
Like all clubs, we are hugely dependent on volunteerism. Never has this been so evident as
in the manner with which our members have put their hands up to cope with the necessary
requirements placed on all clubs by our hardworking health authorities in order to keep
everyone safe. In particular I would like to express my thanks for the incredible work carried
out by our Covid safety officer Don O Riordan and his team of Compliance officers for their
crucial work.
As a club we are so fortunate to be surrounded by such a strong cohort of excellent people
who give their time and expertise so freely for nothing but the satisfaction of seeing the job
done to the highest of standards.
Those standards continue to be set on the field of play, led so ably by our outstanding head
coach Brian Hickey, inspirational club captain Niall Keneally, who leads the senior side for
an unprecedented fifth season, and the cohort of excellent coaches that operate at all levels.
Whether you’re a player, coach, supporter or parent, I sincerely hope you enjoy your visit to
Temple Hill, and I look forward to an exciting, if somewhat different, season ahead.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION
The annual membership subscription for the season 2020-2021 shall
be as follows:
Ordinary membership €190
Family Membership €190
All Adult players €100
Lady membership €30
Senior (Over 75) 50% of Ord. Membership
Corporate Membership €300
Silver Corporate Membership €750
Subscriptions are due on or before the 1st September through
the on-line ClubForce system, available on the club website.
In a number of cases subscriptions will be accepted by Hon.
Treasurer, or Fiona Burke, Office Manager.
NOTICE TO PARENTS
The Club welcomes new members to the Juvenile and Youth
section. It is a condition of juvenile membership that one or
both parents or guardians either hold or apply and be accepted
for Family membership of the club.
MATCH DAY LUNCHES
The Club will host a Members Lunch at 12.30 on the dates
of all home Energia AIL League games at the Clubhouse,
Temple Hill. Members wishing to attend should contact the
function organizers for reservations as places are limited and
are allocated on a first come basis.
