All lawn watering is to be done during the hours of 7:00am‐9:00am or 7:00pm‐9:00pm. Please be aware that due to dry weather this year and emergencies beyond our control, we are all expected to follow mandatory temporary water bans (no unnecessary water consump on/usage) set by the Town of Saugeen Shores. It is a proac ve restric on to ensure we maintain treated water for household use and fire figh ng services. A watering ban is common when there is so li le rain and the temperatures are warm The town will monitor condi ons and advise the public when the ban is li ed. Visit saugeenshores.ca/watering for further infor- ma on.
Page 2 Camp Crier POWER CONSERVATION Typically your master breaker is sized to be less than the sum of all of the sub breakers. The reason for this is in a typi- cal campground is so you don't pull the maximum current from all branches at once. However, this setup does allow for the situa on that you are running into where your master breaker can trip even though none of the sub breakers have tripped. There is nothing unsafe about this setup, but as we are sure you are aware, it can be very annoying to have sec ons of the park lose power. We ask that you help out by being considerate with your power consump on. Please shut off equipment that does not need to be running when you are away. We can all have the power we need if we don’t waste it. We have o en no ced campers with the air condi oners running during the week, when no one is there and it would greatly help if this could stop. There are other things we may not no ce inside trailers, such as electric heaters or fans running when no one is present. Examples of average amp usage in your trailer Air condi oner :13-20amps Space Heater: 9-14 amps TV: 2-6 amps Water Heater: 9-14 amps Refrigerator: 5-9 amps Coffee Pot: 7-14 amps Set your RV AC unit to a temperature only 3-4 degrees below the actual outside temperature. If it is 31 outside, set the thermostat for 28.

Beat the HEAT! Drink More Water- Whenever your body heats up from physical ac vity or the hot weather outside, your in- ternal air condi oner turns on and you begin to sweat. And remember, now that your air condi oner is using its coolant (your sweat), it is important to refill the tank Op mize fan use– Did you know?? Facing your fan outwards in a window rather than inwards will keep your trailer cooler. Resul ng in a much cooler and comfortable sleep. Cook cool– Avoid using oven and stove and start making “oven-free” recipes or use the BBQ. Enjoy a nice summer salad and avoid heated ingredients. Give a good squirt– Keep a spray bo le in the fridge and when your ge ng hot give yourself a well deserved wet squirt. Elephants wet their ears by blas ng water from their trunks, humans should follow this example by we ng their wrists to stay cool. Be aware– Electronics produce a significant amount of heat. Try pu ng your electronics in sleep mode when not in use.
