Rustic tented accommodation comprises ten large comfortable walk-in tents, sleeping up to six people each. The tented accommodation includes a hot indoor shower, toilet and a small kitchenette. The tented camp can be booked exclusively by a group in conjunction with the full take-up of all the tents, accommodating up to 60 people. There are 4 x open plan tents and 6 x partitioned tents, of equal size and offer the same facilities. The only difference is the layout of the sleeping area. RULES & REGULATIONS • Check-in: 14:00 | Check-out: 10:00 • Visitors entering the property of Glenburn Lodge and its tented camp, do so at their own risk. • Vehicles will only be permitted to enter the tented camp area to off-load around the paved circle and must park at the designated parking area at the back row of tents. If the designated parking is full, please use the parking area at the main lodge. No vehicles will be permitted to park next to a tent or on the lawn. No driving through the bush trails. • Use of candles inside the tents are strictly forbidden. Please use torches in the event of a power failure. • Smoking inside the tents is prohibited. Fire buckets are available outside the tents for smoking purposes. • Please do not discard ‘stompies’ in the natural bush due to the high risk of veld fires. • Motorbikes and 4 wheelers are strictly prohibited. • Camping is only allowed at the camp site and no private tents or caravans will be permitted. • No domestic pets allowed. • No littering will be tolerated. Please use the bins provided. • Please use water sparingly. • No fire wood to be collected from the surrounding bush. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp supervisor. • No trespassing on surrounding private property or entering private function venues. • Guest will not be allowed to use or enter a tent that is not allocated to them. • No harming, snaring, teasing or trying to catch the animals. Do not feed the monkeys. • Removal of animals, reptiles or any plant matter are strictly prohibited. • No firearms and weapons may be kept at the camp site and is to be handed in for safekeeping at the main hotel reception. • Hunting and shooting is not permitted. • Fires/Braais are only allowed at the designated tented camp boma. • The camp area is for all to use and enjoy as intended (enjoying the sights and sounds of nature). No individual tent occupants and or collective groups may conduct any parties, play music or disturb the peace by being overly loud. If these rules are not adhered to management reserves the right to evict without warning and will be enforced without refund. • No day visitors are allowed. Right of admission reserved. • Tents are not serviced during your stay. • Fire extinguishers are provided in case of an emergency. Please note that should any fire extinguisher be let off for any reason other than putting out a fire we will charge R2000 to your account in addition to the cost of any subsequent repair or replacement caused by this action. • All damage to the venue, cutlery, crockery, linen or furniture will be charged to client. • No beverages to be taken out of the camp or consumed on any other part of the property. • In case of an emergency, please call the main hotel on 011 668 1600 / 083 417 6819 • During thunderstorms, please return to your tent • Please report any damages or maintenance issues to hotel staff or reception during your stay or on departure. • Please do not leave valuables in or around the tent unattended. Please make use of the steel trommels to lck away your valuables. Please bring own lock and key.
