Rabbi’s Message A MONTH TO REMEMBER Rabbi Daniel M. Sherman I am writing this column immediately Passover. The spirit of Sinai was brought into our homes as we all celebrated Sinai Soirée in Slippers! With home delivered meals, we were able to celebrate safely in our own homes. Many donned their favorite slippers and some dressed up bringing out the china and crystal! We thank you for being a vital part of supporting Sinai. Every contribution to the evening is so much appreciated including all levels of dinner packages; Soirée Booklet advertisers*; auction donors* and bidders; raffle donor* and ticket purchases; and delivery volunteers. URJ Summer Camps At Jacobs Camp, the year-round team is deep in planning mode for an amazing in-person Summer 2021 experience full of more Jacobs Magic than ever before! We know it’s going to look a little different, but our campers will still make lifelong friendships, deepen their connection to Judaism, and have SO MUCH FUN! We’ve always said that kids need camp and it has never been more true than it is now! It’s going to be the best summer ever! Of course, we know the question on everyone’s mind is: “How will camp handle COVID-19 safety?” Creating and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for everyone has always been, and always will be our top priority. Our team is working closely with a panel of medical experts, including infectious disease doctors, the other Union for Reform Judaism Camps, the American Camp Association and Foundation for Jewish Camp to gather learnings and insights from the field to revamp our procedures and protocols.
