The Baurech water ski club is located 20 minutes from the center of Bordeaux, in the south west of France, and 20 minutes from the Arcachon bay. It is in an exceptional setting, surrounded by nature, that the Bordeaux Waterski Team will welcome you. Bordeaux Mérignac International Airport (BOD) is 35 minutes away. www.bordeaux.aeroport.fr SNCF train station is 20 minutes away. Bus stop is 2 minutes away.
BULLETIN N°2 TRANSPORTATION It is the responsibility of each team to arrange their own transportation to Bordeaux Water Ski Club from and to their chosen hotel for each day of the competition. Taxis and Uber are available in Bordeaux. Transportation from the airport to the official hotel is provided free of charge to Technical Officials, IWWF Waterski Council Members, IWWF Executive Board Members, and is available to Athletes at cost. CAR RENTAL Many car rental companies are present at the airport as well as at the station. Most credit cards are accepted. WEATHER Middle of September in Bordeaux (Gironde): Temperatures gradually drop, resulting in a slight cooling of the night and morning atmosphere. The climate throughout September in Bordeaux is always mild, much to the delight of summer visitors. Temperature from 15 to 25°C, 10% of rain. Water temperature: 25°C
BULLETIN N°2 SURROUNDINGS OF THE SITE The lake is surrounded by vineyards. The winegrowers of the region will be delighted to open the doors of their chateau to you and to let you taste their wines. Discover the Pyla dune and its magnificent view of the bassin. Taste the oysters of Arcachon. Stroll in Saint Emilion. French gastronomy is in the spotlight.The Club will propose offers for an all-inclusive "tour" to visit all these sites near the lake. Visit the city of Bordeaux and the wine city. More information in the next bulletin.

BULLETIN N°2 ENTRY & ADMINISTRATION Each Federation must register the list of skiers it wishes to enter through the IWWF Event Management System (EMS) not later than 60 days before the scheduled start of the first competition day of the 2022 IWWF World Over-35 Waterski Championships – July 16, 2022 deadline. Any Federation not meeting this requirement will not be allowed to compete until they have paid a fine of US$200 to the IWWF. This does not include skiers who may additionally qualify through the Weekly Ranking List or Pro Ranking. An entry is considered complete when the Skier’s name is registered in EMS and the full Entry Fee Payment has been received. For 2022 the entry fee payment cannot be made through EMS and must follow the process described in this information bulletin below. As far as possible the events that each skier will participate in, including their chosen ramp ratio, will be completed in EMS. Official reserves should also be listed. There is no limit on the number of official reserves for each team and no entry fee is required for these skiers. Any Federation not meeting this requirement will not be allowed to compete until the Federation pays a fine to the IWWF of US $10 per skier per day after the 60-day deadline, for each skier not officially registered. After the 60-day deadline a Federation may enter up to two more athletes than originally entered with no penalty, and for which the full entry fee is required as stated above. If more than two additional athletes are added after the 60 days deadline a fine of US$50 per additional athlete will be applied. Any name change or event entered may be changed without penalty up to the 30 days before the scheduled start of the first event of the World Championships.

BULLETIN N°2 ENTRIES - ENTRY FEE The Entry Fee for the “2022 IWWF World Over 35 Waterski Championships” is 275€ per competitor regardless of discipline. This Entry Fee includes a levy of 25€ to assist towards the travel costs of the technical officials. Entry fees are to be paid by bank transfer. ATTENTION The deadline for each Federation to declare, through EMS, the names of the members of its team, the events each will enter, the ratings of each skier, as well as the names of the official reserves is 30 days before the scheduled start of the first competition day of the 2022 IWWF World Over-35 Waterski Championships - August 15, 2022 deadline. BULLETIN N°2 SKIER ELIGIBILITY Skiers who have already skied for one country in a previous World or Confederation Championships may not change countries without consulting and fulfilling the rules laid out in the IWWF Rules of Eligibility. Team Representatives must present the passports or National Identity Cards to the Chief Scorer for checking eligibility before the start of the Competition. WILD CARDS Each Federation may enter 5 additional single event wild card skiers. The skiers must meet the eligibility rules as defined above. A Federation’s Wild Cards cannot be transferred to another Federation. Overall is not considered to be a single event. IWWF LICENSE Following an agreement by the IWWF World Congress held in 2019, the IWWF Executive Board approved the establishment of an IWWF Licence fee from 2021 where competitors in Ranking List and Record Capability competitions in each Sports Division of the IWWF would be required to hold the IWWF Licence. It is requested that Federations ensure that all their athletes hold a valid IWWF License before participating in the 2022 IWWF World Over-35 Waterski Championships. OFFICIAL FUNCTIONS The Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Final Night Banquet are offered free of charge to Athletes, One Team Official, Technical Officials, IWWF Waterski Council Members and IWWF Executive Board Members. UNOFFICIAL TRAINING Unofficial training will be available between August 30th and September 12th at a cost of € 300.00 per hour, and with a minimum booking of 15 minutes. BULLETIN N°2 Unofficial training will be based on a first come first serve but also consideration will be given for it to be distributed evenly based on total entries. The deadline for the unofficial practice request is end of July 2022. After July 30th, all available slots will be opened on a first come first serve basis. OFFICIAL FAMILIARIZATION Official familiarization will be offered on Lake 1 and 2 on September 12th and 13th at a rate of €30 per set in accordance with IWWF Rule 14.07. Please submit, as a country, a request to take part in familiarization by July 16th, 2022. Before the end of July 2022, a calendar will be published with the time allocated to each team and teams will have to pay their due to be able to confirm their training sets. Times will be allotted for each skier based on entries and rides. Each skier will be allocated familiarization as follows: - 4 slalom or 6 minutes whichever is less - 2 trick or 5 minutes whichever is less - 3 jumps during official familiarization A familiarization schedule will be published by July 31st, 2022. The deadline to pay for familiarization will be August 15th, 2022. Any slots unpaid by this deadline will be opened and prorated in time per country based on entries. A package for the 7 mid-day meals is available at a price of 105 €. The deadline for reservations for meals is August 15th, 2022. OFFICIAL BOAT The official boat will the 2022 Ski Nautique with 6.2L engine equipped with the latest version of Zero Off speed control. This boat will ONLY be used during official familiarization and during the competition. DOPING CONTROL In accordance with the IWWF Anti-Doping Rules, Doping controls will be conducted during the competition. By entering this competition, all athletes agree to be subject to doping control. BULLETIN N°2 SAFE SPORT The IWWF takes safe guarding extremely seriously and is committed to ensuring that everyone who attends the championships, whether athletes, officials or volunteers are able to operate in a safe environment, free from abuse and the risk of harm. It is a condition of participation that all attendees familiarise themselves and comply with the IWWF Safeguarding Regulations which are available at https://iwwf.sport/safe-sport/ TRAVEL INSURANCE The IWWF Bye-Law 16.1 states: It is the responsibility of each Federation when entering competitors for a World Titled Event to ensure that its competitors are adequately insured for personal accident, permanent disabilities, death and medical expenses. ATHLETE INFORMATION FOR COMMENTATOR Please request your athletes to log into IWWF’s EMS to fill in / update their profiles (accomplishments, sponsors, social media handles, other interesting information in the “optional fields”, etc.) so the event commentator has information available to communicate to spectators present at the event venue and online via live stream. They should also upload photos for media use. Athletes should contact their respective Federations if they are not active / confirmed EMS users. FLAGS & ANTHEMS Each team must bring an additional flag of their country. (Size approximately 100x150cm). All teams should send (MP3) of their national anthem or confirm the Anthem is on Spotify. If not on Spotify please email MP3 to stephanemiermont@yahoo.fr (Subject line, Your Country/ Anthem).
BULLETIN N°2 SKI STORAGE The organization will provide containers for the storage of competitors' equipment. However, the organization will in no way be responsible for the loss or damage of equipment during this tournament. OPENING CEREMONY The Opening Ceremony will take place Wednesday 14th September after the preliminary round at Ski Nautique Club de Bordeaux. FINAL NIGHT BANQUET The final night banquet will be held on Sunday 18th September. It will be free for athletes. Team and overall medals presentation will take place there. More information will be provided in the next bulletin. Ticket values for friends and family members will be available at a cost of 50.00€ adults and 25.00€ kid and tickets will be on sale till 30th August 2022. Please inform the Organisers ASAP how many tickets you will require. TRANSPORTATION It is the responsibility of each team to arrange its own transportation to Ski nautique club de Bordeaux (Baurech) and to its hotel each day of the competition. If the team is unable to do this, then the organizer will endeavor to make the necessary arrangements at a cost.
