PRESSEINFORMATION HORSES & DREAMS meets Russia Hof Kasselmann in Hagen a.T.W. •17. bis 21. April 2013 Breathtaking show by the Kremlin Equestrian Riding School – Tebbel makes headlines (Hagen a.T.W.) This was what scores of horse fans had been waiting for: For the first time, the Kremlin Equestrian Riding School displayed their talents at Horses & Dreams meets Russia at Hof Kasselmann in a spectacular show – producing wide eyes and deep amazement. With astounding confidence and speed, the members of this illustrious institution stunned spectators with a breathtakingly varied performance, wowing the crowds with acrobatics, world-class riding and, above all, their truly wonderful horses. “We are very proud of our horses, which all hail from Russian breeding”, emphasized Boris Petrov, Director of the Kremlin Equestrian Riding School. “We place the highest possible importance on the meticulous training of our horses.” The four-legged guests showed themselves to have great athleticism and nerves of steel, as well as concentrating fully on their riders. The show “borrows” pictures from the Cossack Cavalry, which has military roots. In times of war it was a matter of life and death for mounted messengers and soldiers to hide themselves on galopping horses or to confuse persecutors. The headlines in the show-jumping stadium were made once again by a rider with the surname Tebbel. This time it was Rene Tebbel himself. The three-time German Master from Emsbüren had clearly been motivated by his son Maurice's opening victory and he won the Herforder Brauerei Prize with Pacolino, who just four days earlier had brought his rider a win in the Lastrup Grand Prix. Victory in the Youngster Tour, in the Firma Vitra Prize, followed with seven-year-old Conjurer, and in the large tour the rider from Lower Saxony could only be held off by Daniel Deußer and Mouse and Philipp Weishaupt (Riesenbeck) with Souvenir – third place for Tebbel.
Meanwhile, in the Almased Dressage Stadium a future Grand Prix horse was boarding a triumphal procession: Ingrid Klimke (Münster), Olympic Team Champion, won the qualification to the Louisdor Prize with Dresden Man. Dresden Man had already made headlines at the dressage horse World Champions and in the renowned Burg-Pokal. Now horse and rider are preparing themselves to take the Young Horse Grand Prix (FN) by storm. The Liselott-Schindling-Stiftung Louisdor Prize has its first stage at Hof Kasselmann and is the perfect platform for the star horses of the future. In the international small tour there was a “changing of the guards”: On the first day Charlott-Maria Schürmann (Gehrde) won the opener with Burlington, ahead of Patrik Kittel of Sweden with Deja. In the Intermediaire I the pair traded places – Kittel ahead of Schürmann…. In the German Professional Dressage Riders Championship, the first qualifier was won by the defending champion: Bianca Kasselmann achieved a superior victory in the first test, the Grand Prix. On Thursday Ellen Bodenkamp won the Intermediaire II – Last Chance – with Donnerhit. In the Grand Prix Special on Friday, the second qualification of the championship will be decided. Only then will we have confirmation of the three finalists who, in the short Grand Prix with horse exchange on Sunday, will take part in one of the most exciting events on offer. The Horses & Dreams “browse factor” The Russian Village and Lifestyle Exhibition attracted scores of curious visitors on the second day of the tournament. Trying Russian delicacies, inspecting all the individual stalls and trying on the latest fashions – all of this will be available right through until Sunday. Take note: The Kremlin Equestrian Riding School will be performing their spectacular show each day in the show-jumping stadium. The most spectacular and sporting insight into the guest country Russia...
