GRATEFUL AMERICANS CHARITY’S 2021 HOUSTON AREA EVENTS
On August 28, 2021, the Grateful Americans Charity (GratefulAmericansCharity.org) will be hosting its
5th Annual Houston Charity Gala at the Houston Marriott Marquis. This year’s Golf Tournament will be
held at the Shadow Hawk Golf Club, in Richmond, Texas, on September 20, 2021.
ABOUT GRATEFUL AMERICANS CHARITY
Since we started in 2016, our mission has been to increase awareness and raise resources for programs and
charities benefiting U.S. Veterans, including those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
We are proud to inform you that in just six short years, we have donated more than $1,230,000 to the PTSD
Foundation of America. We could not have accomplished this without the support of our many donors and
sponsors. We Thank You! However, our job is not complete.
The PTSD Foundation of America (ptsdusa.org) and its Camp Hope will again be this year’s beneficiary.
This amazing organization serves Veterans and their families, in a caring and positive environment.
Nationally, there are 14 chapters and 45 warrior groups, with an average of 450 in attendance each week
across the country.
Camp Hope continues to provide several much-needed resources and services, including temporary housing
and extensive residential PTSD recovery programs. Veterans can attend group or one-on-one support
sessions with other combat veterans. Individual mentoring sessions with certified combat trauma mentors
are also conducted. The involvement with local charities, businesses and volunteer organizations also assist
in healing, as well as, educating the community on the invisible wounds of war. Camp Hope embraces our
troops, Veterans and their families as they seek the rewarding and fulfilling lives they so richly deserve.
FAST FACTS
• On any given night, over 62,000 Veterans, many who are suffering from PTSD, have no home and
are left to fend for themselves on the street.
• In the last 10 years, the number of Veteran's suicides are 2 – 3 times that of civilian suicides.
• Suicide related deaths from PTSD have surpassed combat related deaths.
• 20 veterans and 1 active duty military personnel commit suicide every day.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

➢ Professional Counseling for residents $4,000 per month / $920 per week
➢ Childcare for Warrior Groups $900 per month / $200 per week
