B raddock District residents donated 44,320 pounds of food during our last three Stuff the Bus food drives. The $73,000 worth of food donations is a tangible demonstration of our community’s generosity and spirit. But now we need to do it again! According to the Feeding America Impact of Coronavirus on Food Insecurity projections (published March 29, 2021), the food insecurity rate in Fairfax County is 7.4%, up from 5.8% in 2019. That means about 86,716 people don’t have access to sufficient food because of limited financial resources. Together, we can make sure that families in our community have warm and nutritious meals tonight.
