Boosters TERESA DRIVAS tdrivas@bethelsd.org Facts about Bethel High School Community Booster • We are a recognized 501c3 by the IRS • We support all students and staff of BHS regardless of their participation • Coordination of most volunteer activities goes through our Booster Club • Student and staff recognition • Bulk of spirit wear and concessions is done by our volunteers to raise money for our students For Seniors specifically • We donate the cakes and all water for their senior awards program • Coordinate and help with volunteers for Prom and Senior Breakfast • Design and sell senior shirts How can you help? After the meeting you can sign up to volunteer (You do not have to pay a fee to volunteer) and/or become a participant in our Booster Club with a small joining fee - You can designate up to 75% of your participation fee to go to the senior class to help offset expenses like Prom and other senior only activities. IMPORTANT Senior Shirt: The spelling of your child’s name is used from the Synergy operating system. If it is spelled incorrectly in Parentvue, please contact the BHS main office. Order forms will be available online with instructions and delivery schedule.

YEARBOOK Denise Gibbs dgibbs@bethelsd.org Senior Yearbook Cost: • $45 • Sales start November 1st Senior Photos (No later than January 31st ): • Submit your photo by going to the Jostens ad service (https://images.jostens.com/415467106 User ID 415467106). • Photos should be a portrait style (focus on the face) and must be digital copies (at least 300dpi) in JPG or PNG format in largest resolution possible • Please include your student’s full first & last name with the photo Senior Ad Page: • $50 -- Quarter Page • $75 – Half Page • $150 – Full page **Photos & Messages can be emailed to: dgibbs@bethelsd.org
Student fines • The senior class has a total of: • $22,795.88 • If you think you have a fine: • Check online or at the ASB office. • Online payment: Go to www.bethelsd.org and then "payments and purchases" to check or pay fines. • If you have a fine: • Pay……If you have difficulty paying in full: • You can make small payments every month as long as it’s paid off by graduation. • IF YOU DON’T PAY YOUR FINE, you DON’T walk for graduation, official transcripts are not sent to institutions of your choice, and you don’t receive your diploma. • Lunch fines: if you need help with paying for lunch, you will need to go online to do so.

Graduation requirements 24 Credits Required to Graduate: • ELA 4 credits • Social Studies: 3 credits • (World Studies, US History, Civics Must be a & Economics) full time • Health .5 credits student • Fitness 1.5 credits your senior • Science (2 Lab) 3 credits year to • Math 3 credits walk with • (Algebra, Geometry, & Adv. Senior Advisory Requirements • Passing Advisory is a graduation requirement! It fulfills the High School and Beyond Plan requirement set by the State. • Community Service and Job Shadow hours have been waived for last year and this year. Seniors are still responsible for the 8 hours they should have completed their sophomore year. • All seniors* must complete their Student Led Conference (SLC) in the spring, as well as write a 2-5 page paper reflecting on their high school experience and how it has impacted their post-high school plans. You cannot pass Advisory without these. • A full assignment description and SLC scoring rubric will be shared via Advisory. • *Running Start students completed these requirements through their College Success class. They do not need to do a SLC or reflection paper.
