BARASTI DANCER wins the first trophy of the year Exciting finishes at Markopoulo Park Markopoulo Park: Big winnings for 15 winners in PICK 6 at the first race meeting of the year BARASTI DANCER won the first trophy of 2020 The New Year started with good omens at Markopoulo Park. The first race meeting of the year that was held on Sunday January 5 had six competitive races, big winnings for many winners and lots of surprises for the entire family. PICK 6 gave a New Year’s present to 15 winners. Specifically, one winner predicted the winners of six consecutive races, winning 2.078 euros (with a 1 euro’s worth slip), and 14 winners got 1.039 euros (with 0,50 euro’s slips). The 1st Race Meeting of 2020 Trophy wins the spotlight The fifth race, the 1st race meeting of 2020, stood out in the program. Following a thrilling race, BARASTI DANCER won, owned by AEGEAN STABLES, trained by 2019’s champion trainer Christos Kouvaras and ridden by champion jockey Panayotis Dimitsanis. Fun surprises for the entire family at Markopoulo Park Once again the facilities of Markopoulo Park were filled with children’s’ laughter. SAFETY ISSUES
Track exercisers are obliged to wear all the safety equipment which includes safety helmet, safety vest and
riding boots with heel. This applies for everyone who rides a horse either inside or outside of the track (horse
path ways, saddling area and paddock area). Trainers are kindly requested to advice track exercisers to use only
the designated horse pathways in order to enter the track. It is reminded to all track exercisers that only walking and
trotting is permitted on horse pathways, saddling area and paddock. Cantering on the aforementioned areas is not allowed. Track
exercisers with horses are not allowed to use the car roads in order to enter the track.
REMINDER TO DRIVERS OF ALL VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES, PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO HORSES
WELFARE
Trainers are kindly requested to fill in an Entrance Application and deliver it to the EVC,
for the new horses that are expected to come into the Racecourse.

HORSE AMBULANCE - Patient Transport
As a service to the racing industry Horseraces SA’s horse ambulance is available by appointment to transfer horses to and from
the Equine Veterinary Clinic. For horses in need of transfer, please contact our veterinary team.
Hematology and Biochemistry analysis
We would like to inform you that, every Wednesday and Friday until 10 a.m., samples will be received for hematology and biochemical
analysis. The results will be available on the afternoon of the same day. For more information contact the EVC.
