It is the start for your cycling tour on the Baltic Sea cycle path. You cycle in Northern Germany along the river Warnow and along the Hochuferweg to Fischland/Darß. Who loves beaches in the cycle vacation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, comes at the “west edge” at its expense. From Barth you cycle along the Bodden to Stralsund. The historic old town has been a World Heritage Site in Germany since 2002. Itinerary Day 1 - Individual arrival in Warnemünde/Rostock After check-in at your hotel, both Rostock and Warnemünde invite you to take a walk before the start of your cycling tour on the Baltic Sea. Stroll in Rostock to the Marienkirche with the astronomical clock, the gothic town hall and the town gates from the Middle Ages. A cycling holiday in Germany begins in the maritime town of Warnemünde with an exploration of the local fishermen's houses and a visit to the lighthouse. Example of hotel: InterCity Hotel in Rostock Day 2 - Warnemünde/Rostock–Fischland/Darß, approx. 40–52 km + ferry ride Start your first cycle tour along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route with a ferry trip over the Warnow to Hohe Düne. You cycle over the dikes to your seaside resort and the next stop on Fischland or Darß. Example of hotel: Deutsches Haus in Wustrow Day 3 - Fischland/Darß–Zingst/Barth, approx. 30–42 km On the third day of your cycle tour along the cycle path in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern you will experience the fascination of the Baltic Sea. The bicycle tour in Northern Germany leads through a part of the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. Note for people with limited mobility The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room). Passport and visa requirements To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card. For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time. Terms and Conditions of Payment: You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice. Cancellation Policy: According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable: 20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date 30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date 50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date 70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date 90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show” If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes. Length: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is 430 kilometers long. Signage: The route is signposted throughout with the blue logo of the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route. Condition: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is mainly asphalted, in places also on sand and gravel surfaces. On Fehmarn, sections of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route are expected to be poor. The route runs mostly through flat coastal terrain. Between Flensburg, Kappeln, Eckernförde and Kiel, uphill stretches are to be expected in places.
Start/Destination: The Baltic Coast Cycle Route begins in northern Germany, in Kupfermühle near Flensburg.
