1|P ag eThe candidates who have accepted seats (First to sixth rounds) in JoSAA-2020 and
provisionally allotted in B.Tech./B.Arch. programmes of National Institute of Technology
Raipur for the academic year 2020-2021 are compulsorily required to read the instructions
and do the formalities as mentioned by JoSAA/CSAB-2020 (link for instructions:
https://josaa.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=24&LangId=P ).
With the instruction of JoSAA/CSAB – 2020, the PROVISIONAL admission process of NIT
Raipur will be in ONLINE mode ONLY and can be processed with following TWO Steps:
1. All the candidates who have accepted a seat in JoSAA-2020 (First to sixth rounds) need
to perform the STEP-1 of JoSAA/CSAB-2020 Instructions and pay the partial
admission fee of Rs. 40000/- [GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL] and Rs. 20000/-
[SC/ST/all PwD] AT JOSAA PORTAL ONLY TO SECURE THE ADMISSION from 09th -
13th November 2020 [Candidates who do not pay PARTIAL ADMISSION FEE during
9th -13th November, 2020 will be treated as candidates who are not interested in
taking admission in their allotted institute (NIT Raipur) HENCE, their allotted seat
will be CANCELLED].
2. Such candidates who have done the above-mentioned formalities (STEP-1,) are advised
to further report ONLINE to the NIT Raipur for admission along with the documents
listed here under and as per the schedule with the link provided below:

The candidates need to login in the institute interface for provisional admission through
their JEE(Main) Application Number, Date of Birth and other credentials. Kindly note
that without the STEP-1 formalities as mentioned above, this step and login will not
confirm your admission at NIT Raipur. While verification by officials if it is observed that
you have not done the formalities mentioned in STEP-1, your entered data will be
removed from the institute database and will be treated as unreported.

* Fee paid by Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC (whose family income less than Rs. 1 Lakh or between Rs.
1 Lakh and upto & including Rs. 5 Lakh), SC/ST and PWD candidates at the time of seat
acceptance will be adjusted with the institute fee as applicable and balance amount will be
refunded on receipt of amount from JoSAA (CSAB) - 2020.
** Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC candidate claiming/ availing the remission of tuition fee must have
to produce the family income certificate issued from competent authority (e.g. DM /DC /SDM /SDO
/Tahsildar) for the latest financial year. Income certificate must be issued on or after 01/04/2020.
Without annual income certificate, student will not be given remission of tuition fee.
3|Pag eThe following essential documents given below are required / uploaded at the time of
online admission through your institute login:
1. Transfer certificate/ School leaving certificate/college leaving certificate as
applicable and Migration certificate (from board/university, as applicable) and
Character / Conduct certificate (if the conduct is mentioned in TC, then not
required) in SINGLE FILE or PDF.
2. Undertaking against the online Reporting (to be filled and signed by candidate and
parent) [Format is given as Annexure-I and appended at the last page (Page#6) of
this Bulletin]
3. Aadhar Card / any Govt. issued identity proof card.
4. Income certificate issued from competent authority (e.g.DM/DC/SDM/SDO
/Tahsildar) for the GEN / OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS candidate claiming for the
remission of tuition fees for the latest financial year. Income certificate must
be issued on or after 01/04/2020. Without annual income certificate, student
will not be given remission of tuition fee.
5. Soft copy of formal color (white background) passport size photograph (50 to 100
kb) & soft copy of signature in size (20 to 50 kb).
6. Cancelled Cheque / First Page of Bank passbook (bank account should be in the
name of Students /Parents) [This is required for the refund of excess fees if paid].
7. Any others, if required such as affidavit, undertaking, etc. will be uploaded in
‘Others document’ field.
The following documents may be retrieved from JoSAA / CSAB – 2020 interface, so
candidates need not to upload these documents till not asked by officials of NIT
Raipur:
1. Online Document Verification cum Seat Acceptance Letter (in pdf) received during
online reporting and verification.
2. Class X (High School) Mark sheet / Board Certificate as proof of name & date of birth.
3. Pass Certificate and Marks sheet of qualifying examination (class XII).
4. Certificate of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS/SC/ST category, issued by the competent
authority in the prescribed format (can be downloaded from http://josaa.nic.in )
The OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS certificate should be issued on or after April 1, 2020.
The OBC-NCL certificate should clearly mention that the candidate belongs to
non-creamy layer and the caste of the candidate must be in the state-wise
central list of OBCs given at http://www.ncbc.nic.in website.
4|Pag e5. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in the prescribed format, if applicable
(format PwD Certificate Proforma can be downloaded from http://josaa.nic.in).
6. Passport, if the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside
India; this is required for determining the 'State from which eligibility'.
7. Proof of place of examination Center of the final examination from the National
Open School for candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate; this is required for
determining the 'State from which eligibility'.

Payment should be made through Online Payment Gateway through
Debit / Credit Card and Net Banking
[The balance institute fees will be applicable for the candidates
belonging to GEN /GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL having annual family
income greater than Rs. 5 Lakh as mentioned]
The PwD candidates, allotted provisional seat to NIT Raipur must
PwD undergo for Physical Examination by Medical Board of the
Verification institute at the time of joining the institute physically. If found
ineligible (i.e. if the disability is found less than 40%) during
their physical examination their candidature will liable to be
cancelled and he/she will not have any claim for their allotted
seat.
The PwD candidates must upload the valid and prescribed format of
PwD Certificates in their JoSAA / CSAB – 2020 login. And the same
certificate may be asked from the officials of NIT Raipur while
verification.
The process of hostel admission will be initiated after the physical

before admission.

submitted in original), In case I fail to produce/submit any of the required documents as per my
claim against the allotment at NIT Raipur OR at point of time if the uploaded / submitted
document(s) found invalid OR found ineligible OR information provided herein found incorrect at
any stage then the NIT Raipur (admitting institute) reserves the right to cancel my admission
automatically and I shall have no claim on my allotted seat at NIT Raipur. I shall be fully
responsible for all consequences arising out of such cancellation of admission. NIT Raipur or
JoSAA / CSAB-2020 shall not be held responsible in any case. I also understand that, fee refund
