75 years ago, a builder named Ted started a paint company… The first ‘The Range’ Ted starts making his own 1946 paint using a cement mixer in his Eastbourne garage. 1999 fashion fandeck arrives and makes choosing colours easier. Ted expands his range and The first edition of 1951 launches the first waterborne paint in NZ under the brand name ‘Resene’. 2004 habitat magazine shares decorating ideas, projects and knowhow. It was time to add some New Resene 1969 colour! The BS2660 colour range greatly expands the colours available. 2006 CoolColour technology helps keep paint cooler! The first Resene Resene voted New 1975 ColorShop is opened in Marion Street, Wellington. 2012 Zealand’s Most Trusted Paint Brand and has been each year since. Paint gets clever with The first Resene 1981 testpots make it easy to try colours out. 2019 Resene SmartTouch’s new conductive technology. Green all the way! 1996 Resene products get Environmental Choice approval. 2021 Happy 75th birthday Resene! Thank you for a colourful 75 years!
