CARLIE is currently attending the University of Oklahoma. She is majoring in ballet performance and chemistry pre-med, and minoring in French and physics. She feels that the best thing about Harding are its teachers and staff. “Every one of my teachers was always so willing to help me and give me the best education possible, which I am very grateful for,” she says. Outside of academics at HFAA, Carlie was involved in Oklahoma Close Up, Student Council, National Honor Society, and the Student Ambassador program. She also had the opportunity to take ballet, modern dance, orchestra, visual art, photography, and journalism as arts electives, and seven of Harding’s AP classes. “Attending Harding for four years taught me to be independent in my education as well as provided me with the skills necessary to be successful in my academic and artistic endeavors. At a large university like O.U., it is necessary that you know how to manage your studies, motivate yourself, and do what is required to be successful, such as asking for help,” says Carlie. “Attending Harding for four years taught me to be independent in my education…”
