The role of Warehouse Stock Replenishment Assistant Girlguiding is recruiting a Warehouse Stock Replenishment Assistant, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, to work within our Trading team: Girlguiding Trading Atlantic Street Broadheath Altrincham Cheshire WA14 5EQ The Warehouse Stock Replenishment Assistant will take responsibility for stock receipt and stock movements within the warehouse operation and assist with order picking/packing as required. The post holder will be responsible for receiving deliveries and accurately book into stock, liaising with Supervisory Team over any queries. He/she will move stock to storage or shelving as required, as well as actioning reports (and requests) to replenish picking rack stock in order to support an efficient pick and pack operation. Job Description Basic job details Grade: 4 Job Title: Warehouse Stock Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Replenishment Assistant Department: Trading Service Overall purpose of job To take responsibility for stock receipt and stock movements within the warehouse operation and assist with order picking/packing as required Main areas of responsibility To receive deliveries and accurately book into stock, liaising with Supervisory Team over any queries To move stock to storage or shelving as required To action reports (and requests) to replenish picking rack stock in order to support an efficient pick and pack operation To keep knowledgeable and up to date on Girlguiding product ranges and apply accurate stock rotation procedures To ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded on the FATS operating system To operate and maintain Fork Lift Truck as part of stock movement procedures to highest safety standards To assist in the picking and packing operation as and when required To maintain accurate processing of customer addresses, post books and manifests as part of dispatch process To assist in the annual stocktake procedures To carry out all duties within Health and Safety requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards within the warehouse operation To contribute to the work of the team as a whole to ensure an effective operation that delivers excellent customer service Knowledge and skills To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of stock procedures within the FATS operating system is required, and a focussed vigilant approach adopted, in order to ensure that: all stock movements are correct and recorded accurately, and replenishment procedures are timely and accurate in order to maintain and support an efficient pick and pack operation To be fully trained and certified Fork Lift truck operator. To have an awareness of the inherent dangers of a warehouse environment is required to support high standards of housekeeping and a safe compliant working environment To picking and pack to a high degree of accuracy to ensure good customer service
Problem solving Stock movements are largely routine and controlled through established procedure, however when issues are detected liaison and investigation will be required with the Warehouse supervisory team, the Buying team and on occasions the Accounts team in order to find an appropriate solutions that ensure accuracy of stock records. Innovation To have proactive engagement with working procedures is required and a willingness to seek improved ways of working that decrease the chances of stock inaccuracy and improve warehouse efficiencies Planning & decision-making To respond to fluctuating workloads by assigning priorities. Interpersonal skills To be able to communicate well with warehouse colleagues in order to support them in the pick and pack operation, and accurately with other Department s onsite, especially the Buying team when discussing booking in queries/problems People development and leading To provide assistance to colleagues by answering queries and questions Monetary responsibility: Booking in procedures impact significantly on the Accounts processes, so although there is no direct monetary responsibility is required the role plays an important part in the financial process Additional information To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required to fulfil the duties of this post.

Terms & Conditions Contract Type This post is a full-time permanent post. Location You will be based in Girlguiding Trading, Atlantic Street, Broadheath, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 5EQ Salary/Rate Your salary for the position is £15,789.00 per annum. Working Hours Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with one hour for lunch. However, you may be required to work at times other than and in addition to your normal hours of work. Probationary Period The post will be subject to a probationary period of 26 weeks. Medical and Criminal Records Check Employment is subject to satisfactory receipt of a medical and criminal records disclosure check. Holidays 25 days’ paid holiday per annum plus bank holidays. This increases after two years’ services as on 1 January to 26 days, and then a further one day for every two years of service, up to a maximum of 30 days for 10 years’ service and above. Holidays and bank holiday allowance will be pro-rata for part-time and fixed-term employees.
Terms & Conditions Notice Period During the probationary period, the period of notice required is one week by either party; or four weeks thereafter.
