Year 10 Work Experience Program
As part of the Year 10 course all students will be
undertaking one week of work experience placement from
21st to 25th June. This is approaching us very quickly and
is a required task in the LG Moodle Course. We would
appreciate the co-operation of parents in assisting your son/
daughter to find a placement for during this week.
It is the student’s responsibility to initiate contact with a
prospective employer either by a phone call or visit to
the workplace. We believe this is responsibility students
should accept as it is a key part of the workplace learning
experience.

NOTE: THE CAREERS OFFICE WOULD LIKE ALL WORK
PLACEMENTS TO BE ORGANISED AND PAPERWORK

SENIOR BOYS BASEBALL

Our boys turned up to Newborough Baseball Club with
minimal experience but a willingness to have a crack.
Coming up against a more experienced Lowanna College
was always going to be a tough ask. However, the boys
learnt the game as they went along and showed some
positive early signs of success, getting a plethora of home
runs on the board for DSC. After having an early lead,
our boys were able to hold on and progress to state later
this term! Our performance was highlighted by some
consistent pitching from Wil Pickering who had never done
the job before. Well done to all the boys, a fantastic team
effort and good luck at the state championships.
