Construction Industry - White Card Training Services NSW are funding this program for students who are 17 years plus and in school. ARE YOU KEEN TO START A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION? You'll need to obtain a WorkCover NSW WHS Induction Training White Card before you can commence work on any construction site in NSW. This course will ensure you meet the general level of work health and safety training for the construction industry. This white card course will teach you the health and safety legislative requirements of constructions work, construction hazards and risk control measures, health and safety communication and reporting processes, and incident and emergency response procedures. Upon successful completion of the course you will obtain your Induction Training White Card NSW so you can legally work on a NSW construction site. ELIGIBILITY - STUDENTS NEED TO BE 17 YEARS PLUS AND STILL AT SCHOOL TAFE NSW is able to deliver this fee waiver training as a Smart and Skilled Provider. The course involves 6 hours of face to face tuition. Maximum delivery per group is 20 participants. Minimum group size is 10 participants. What is the Junior Science Olympiad Exam? 26 July 2021 The Junior Science Olympiad Exam is designed to take science students in years 7 to 10 to the next level. The exam is based on general science content (biology, chemistry and physics) and assumes students have a good knowledge of the Australian Curriculum – Science up to a Year 10 level. Some questions in the exam may also involve higher-level content (such as might be encountered by an extended Year 10 student). A range of analysis questions will also be included for which any necessary extra information is provided. The exam is held online, is two hours long, and questions are multiple choice. Students will receive a certificate indicating their grade based on their exam performance. MyRoad: Free Online Mentoring Program for Year 10-12 Women Many young Australians don’t get the opportunity to meet and connect with industry role models. This can be even harder to do for young people in rural, regional and remote areas of Australia. MyRoad helps to address this problem. MyRoad gives young people the opportunity to engage with volunteer mentors from many different jobs and industries.
