Haines AK is located 950 kilometers southeast of Anchorage near to the Pacific Ocean. Haines is one of the unique and best
heliski spots in Alaska and had been since several years the top stop on the Freeride World Tour. The peaceful town of
Haines with its wild and unique nature and the unlimited possibilities of steep powder runs in the Chilkoot, Chilkat,
Fairweather, and Takshanuk Takhinsha Mountain Range gives a dreamlike and unforgettable experience away from it all. Ski
filmer as Warren Miller use repeatedly this fantastic playground for their movies. Join us to ski in probably one of the best
Heliski spots in the world.
Area:
Area - to choose the right places and find the best snow condition we have a wide range of different areas, the Chilkoot,
Chilkat, Fairweather, and Takshanuk Takhinsha Mountain Range.
Snow information:
Haines benefits from a unique set of meteorological and geographic circumstances. Thanks to the location of Haines in the
pacific region and the often cold artic temps it´s one of the most snow-rich areas of Alaska. An annual cumulative snowfall of
20m per year is not uncommen. Snowfall with more than 1m of snow there are often in Haines.
Maximize your Heli-Skiing time with our small groups:
Small group’s means less wait time between runs, so you can make the most of your time on the mountain. By using smaller,
more agile helicopters, you can explore further and deeper into our majestic playground. We work with max. 4-5 participants
per mountain guide.

Fort Seward Lodge:
Fort Seward Lodge in Haines AK. The Lodge is located in the heart of Haines and is a typical Alaska lodge with simple and
friendly atmosphere. All rooms have cable TV, Wireless LAN, shower and toilet.

Itinerary:
Firday - Saturday: Individual travel from Europe for example (Frankfurt/London/Zurich/Vienna - Seattle (SEA) - Juneau
(JNU) – Haines (HNS)) Due to the long travel we recommend an extra night in Seattle. Pick up at the
aiport of Haines check in, in your room. After we will get a snack.
Sunday: Breakfast is served at 8:00am After breakfast everyone will be taken through avalanche safety and
beacon training, helicopter safety briefing and ski/snowboard & equipment adjustment. Heli
skiing/snowboarding will commence once the safety briefings are completed which is normally
around 10:30 -11:30am and weather permitting. Skiing continues throughout the afternoon. This is
dependant on weather & time of the year. Dinner is served around 7:30 p.m.
Monday Friday: Breakfast is served at 8:00am. The first group leaves for skiing at the earliest at 09:30am (weather
and week dependant). Terrain selection is determined by the guides and pilots and is based on
avalanche assessment, weather and the group ski level. Ensuring your safety is our number one
priority. Skiing continues throughout the afternoon. This is dependant on weather & time of the year.
Dinner is served around 7:30 p.m.
Saturday: A continental breakfast is served depending on the departure at 7:00am • Check out • Individual
transfer to the airport and individual traveling back home.
Refund helicopter flights/runs in a group of 4 participants:
There are no cash refunds and we strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance. No refund will done also, in case of
illness, accident, deficiency of physical shape – lack of condition, bad skiing level, late arrival and breaks during the skiing

Requirements:
You will need to be a safe off-piste skier/snowboarder in all conditions (also steeper terrain), and fit enough to cope skiing off-
piste 7,000 vertical meters a day. For group booking´s, we can take care individual of the skiing level.

Additional costs:
Your costs of travel to & from Haines and any airport taxes. Travel & Cancellation insurance (please arrange when you book
your trip and ensure they cover heliskiing and ensure you understand the cancellation clause in the policy), additional flight taxes,
drinks, single room add. US$ 600,00, cost for alternative programs and all not included services.

How to get to Haines:
Due to the long travel to Haines we recommend an overnight in Seattle.
Flight - Frankfurt/London/Zurich/Vienna - Seattle (SEA) - Juneau (JNU) – Haines (HNS) approx. 10 hours

Connecting flight Seattle (SEA) - Juneau (JNU) approx. 2 ½ hours

From Juneau we fly over to Haines with a small airplane flight to Haines approx. 1 hour. The flight for the group to Haines can be
organize by Heli-Guides.

Meeting point:
On the arrival day Saturday in Haines or by appointment with Heli Guides.
Safety equipment, avalanche equipment:
All participants will get an ABS backpacks, Avalanche transceiver, shuffle and probe.
Cancellation insurance and health insurance:
We always recommend trip cancellation insurance, baggage insurance as well as travel and accident insurance.
