Page 4 Dear fellow Liberals: Once again, it is my pleasure to issue the formal call for our Annual General Meeting and Convention, which will take place in Gander on June 15th & June 16th, 2018. Under the leadership of Premier Dwight Ball, our Government has made significant progress in supporting economic development, creating new employment opportunities and advancing programs and services that support our residents. This government has proven its ability to take a smarter approach to governing and is getting our Province back on track. I am confident that the future of Newfoundland and Labrador is bright and prosperous. As we look towards 2019, it is important for us to recognize the hard work that comes with an approach that is methodical, fair and responsible. As Party President, I am very proud of each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication to the Liberal Party and the confidence you have placed in us. The Way Forward vision has guided the decision making of government and it recognizes that there isn’t a one size fits all solution to the issues faced by our province. Instead, this Liberal Government is driven by goals of managing our fiscal situation, protecting valuable programs and services, getting better outcomes for our investments and creating an environment which supports economic development and job creation. Our Party remains committed to and engaged with our supporters to continue on our promise of a stronger tomorrow. Through the strong guidance exemplified by Premier Dwight Ball and our resolved Liberal Caucus, I am most confident in saying that we will once again rise to the occasion in 2019. Our time together in Gander will provide an excellent opportunity for each of us to celebrate our achievements since 2015 and allow us to reconnect. We will focus on election readiness and policy development, preparing ourselves for the upcoming 2019 general election. You will also have the opportunity to vote on who you would like to see lead the Party’s executive and board of directors. Should you wish to put your name forward for one of the many available positions, please see the enclosed relevant information that you will need to become a member of our Provincial board. I wish to thank all of you for the hard work you do throughout the year in promoting and representing our Party within your towns and districts. Our success is not possible without our grassroots-Liberals, and we are counting on you to help lead us to another victory in 2019. With our Premier Dwight Ball, our Caucus and people like you, we can help achieve a future focused Government. Together we can continue to build our future. John Allan, President, Liberal Party of Newfoundland & Labrador FUTURE FOCUSED AGM 2018
