Cargo Carts
celebrate 3 years
Next time you’re in the Perth CBD, keep an eye out for
the Food Rescue Cargo Carts being wheeled around
the streets.
Every day, Food Rescue’s Cargo Carts are pushed
around the city by volunteers, collecting surplus food
from cafes. Each week, the volunteers collect more than
650 items including sandwiches, wraps and rolls to feed
disadvantaged families and individuals in our community.
As the proud principal partner of Food Rescue, we are
delighted to celebrate the third anniversary of the Cargo
Carts initiative which has provided many hungry people
with fresh and delicious meals that would otherwise have
been thrown out.

Tell us about what you do?
I work in the Marketing Team as the Marketing & Communications Manager.
In a nutshell my role involves working with various stakeholders from different
departments across the business to help them communicate and engage
with their customers. This involves a range of things from market research,
product development, rolling out advertising campaigns or chatting to
customers on facebook.
What do you enjoy most about your role and working for Alinta Energy?
I really enjoy the variety of my role and the opportunity to work with some
really great people around the business. Everyone I work with or meet at
Alinta Energy are passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes
they can for our customers. We’re always testing new ideas and trying to find
new ways of doing things to provide more value for our customers.
Our people Tell us something you love about Perth and why?
I love that there’s always something to do! Whether it’s hanging out at one
of our beautiful beaches or checking out one of the many new small bars
popping up around Perth. I also live close to the city which means there’s
heaps of awesome cafes to try. Perth is a great place to call home.
