Activity guide fall winter 2021
administrators message
Hello and thank you for taking the time to peruse the Fall and Winter 2021 edition of the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation
and Park District’s Activity Guide. Over the course of the last year there have been a lot of ‘new’ and ‘different’ with
our programs and events. In some ways this will be continuing for the foreseeable future. All of us at the Recreation
and Park District gratefully thank you, our residents, for going with the flow and adapting to the changes that we
have had to implement while we work through safety protocols.

Once again, the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District will be producing this version of our Activity Guide
electronically and available on our website. All of our special events and programs are still contingent upon the
safety protocols put in place by Sacramento County and the State of California.

We have a full slate of special events planned for the Fall and Winter. This begins with our annual Trunk-or-Treat
event, which will be returning to the Community Center in 2021. With all of the excitement taking place surrounding
the Community Tree Lighting and Christmas Light Parade, we have made some changes to our Christmas Holiday event
and are proud to introduce Cookies with Santa to take place at the Depot Building in the afternoon just prior to the
Tree Lighting and Parade.

Our facilities are open to rental opportunities. If you are looking for a special place to host an Anniversary,
Quinceañera, Holiday Party, Birthday, etc. we may have the right facility at the right price for you. Please contact us
at 916-991-5929 or on our website at www.rleparks.com/facility-rentals.

We are always looking for feedback and suggestions for new or existing programs. If you have an idea for something
new or different, or would like to comment on our current offerings, please contact the District Offices at 916-991-
5929 or fill out a contact form on our website at www.relparks.com/contact-us. Remember that Parks Make Life
Better!

Yours in Recreation,

Mike Heller

together an hour each week just to relax, and enjoy tap dancing, with
other adults. You’re always welcome to just drop in and check us out
