A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE Dear Marist Families, a It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is right around the corner. Every morning as students arrive on campus I can’t help but pause and be thankful for how blessed we are to have students on campus, athletics in full swing and all of it happening in beautiful weather. a As we work to bring this year to a close and plan for next year here are some reminders and updates. a 2021-2022 School Calendar and Bell Schedule We are in the process of creating next year’s school calendar. Our goal is to have a draft posted to the website by the end of May. At this time, we are not expecting any major changes with the start or end of the year. a We plan to open in the fall in person with all students on campus for a regular five-day school week. We will be taking time in the coming weeks to gather input from families and staff about the bell schedule for next year. Our planning for next year will also take into consideration schedules and plans for any unforeseen closures. a AP Exams Hopefully, you received the update from Mr. Oldham that AP Exams will take place in June and happen at home. He will send more information home as we get closer to testing weeks. If you have questions, please reach out to Mr. Oldham at aoldham@marisths.org. a All School Mass We are planning to celebrate our traditional Senior Farewell Mass, which will be held outside. Campus Ministry has an update in this segment of the Newsline and will share more information as they get further along in the planning process. a Senior Prom Based on the changes this week, we will make a final decision about senior prom by Wednesday morning, if not sooner. Seniors, thank you for your flexibility and patience with this planning process. a Graduation Update We will be holding graduation on the turf field, which has special set-up and sound needs. Thursday we met with an outside contractor for our graduation needs. We are pushing our full graduation update to later this week so that we will be able to include the time of the graduation ceremony as well as a timeline for all graduation items. Blessings, Stacey Baker Principal

We are prioritizing finding a safe way to hold one all- school Mass before this school year comes to a close. Our plan is to hold our traditional Senior Farewell Mass before seniors have completed their studies. We are still working out how to do this in a way that meets safety guidelines. As soon as we have determined the appropriate way forward, we will notify students directly.
