WHAT                   ARE

ADAPTOGENS?
                                                Adaptogens are a natural substance
                                                considered to help the body adapt to
                                                stress and to exert a normalizing effect
                                                upon bodily processes. To learn more
                                                about how to transform your energy
                                                hormones and feel turned on by your life,

HOW TO MIX
All adaptogen elixir recipes need to be blended or mixed in order to emulsify the
ingredients (specifically the fats in each recipe).

The foundation of adaptogen elixirs are the herbs, quality protein, quality fats, and
other ingredients that enhance each recipe. Explore and find your own method to
blend each recipe. When mixed properly, your elixir will be creamy, rich and smooth.

You can:
   Use a blender and mix at low speed until you reach the creamy and frothy consistency
   after the tea is steeped.
   Pour everything into a cup and use a frother or whisk and drink through a yerba maté
   straw.
   Simply use a coffee press, strain, and pour into your mug, then mix.
   You can even pour into a lidded jar and shake it to blend either after straining or have a
   built-in strainer. This is especially effective when traveling or on the go.

A       NOTE                 ABOUT

INFUSIONS & ELIXIRS

All tea mixtures, blends and loose-leaf teas will need to be steeped first.
All adaptogenic elixir excess can be stored in a glass jar in the fridge to
be used the following day. Warm it up (not in the microwave) and
enjoy. It’s best to add ingredients in the following order:

   1. Pour the hot water or hot steeped tea into your blender, cup, or french press
  2. Add your creamer or nut milk as well as honey (if you’re using it)
  3. Add your fat source of choice (coconut oil, MCT oil, Ghee, Organic Butter, CBD oil)
  4. Now add your dry ingredients
  5. Blend, shake or mix
  6. Take a few minutes to yourself to sip and ENJOY! Maybe start a gratitude journal and simply write down 3
      things you are grateful for each today.

                      1 teaspoon Rasa Tea (steep and strain 1.5 cup hot tea) or 1 packet
                      of Four Sigmatic (coupon code BTRTLOVE) adaptogen of choice in
                      1.5 cups hot water
                      1 scoop Collagen or (vegan option Peach/Mango flavor)
                      1 dropper full of CBD oil (THC-free) Coupon Code: BTRT for 20% off
                      the peppermint flavor is fun in this one.
                      1 tbsp coconut oil
                      1 tsp raw honey or 2 drops of Now Stevia drops
                      ½ cup nut milk or non-dairy creamer of your choice (I like NutPod)

                            Elixir
    1 tbsp of Dandy Blend (detoxifying coffee
    substitute)
    1 pinch of cinnamon (for added blood
    sugar stability, flavor and progesterone
    support)
    1 pinch of green powder
    1 tsp coconut oil
    1 scoop of Collagen or (vegan option
    Peach/Mango flavor) or Irish Moss (gives
    a salty/ocean added flavor)
    2 tsp of nut milk of your choice (non-dairy
    creamer is also an option)
    added touch for liver support: 1 cup nettle
    infusion prepared night before and
    heated up to replace water or add to that
    day’s elixir.
    1 cup hot water

                                                    1. Add all your dry ingredients into your mug
                                                       of choice and using a whisk, mix it
                                                       together until well combined.
                                                   2. Add your nut milk. Continue to whisk.
                                                   3. Finally, add your hot water and nettle
                                                       infusion as you continue to whisk.
                                                   4. If you’d like a sweetener, maybe try stevia
                                                       or monk fruit.

                                                  Once everything is well combined, take a few
                                                  minutes to yourself to sip and ENJOY! Maybe
                                                  start a gratitude journal and simply write
                                                  down 3 things you are grateful for today.

                                                                      Energy/Libido
                                                                      Caffeine-Free
                                                                      Elixir

                                                       1/8 tsp cacao powder
                                                       1/8 tsp maca powder (unless you have PCOS)
                                                       A pinch of spirulina
                                                       1 TBS coconut oil or MCT oil
                                                       1 tsp honey (raw) or 2 drops stevia
                                                       1.5 cups steeped Rasa Tea ...especially their “sex
                                                       tonic” adaptogen tea or 1 packet of four sigmatic
                                                       (coupon code BTRTLOVE) with 1.5 cups hot water
                                                       1 scoop vegan protein powder (I prefer this one
                                                       in both chocolate and vanilla)
                                                       ½ cup non-dairy creamer or nutmilk of choice
                                                       if you have Shatavari and/or cordyceps, add to
                                                       this elixir (or just swallow in capsule form)

                                              Calming
                                              Lavender
                                              Mylk Elixir

                              2 tbsp of non-dairy Creamer or milk or amount to taste
                              1 heaping tsp of Botanica Lavender Moon Mylk. If you can’t find this, any
                              organic loose leaf lavender tea will suffice. Make it into a hot tea and
                              replace the hot water. Here is an example:
                              1 scoop of Collagen or (vegan option Peach/Mango flavor)
                              1 dropper full of CBD oil (THC-free) Coupon Code: BTRT for 20% off
                              The peppermint flavor is fun in this one.
                              2 drops of stevia for sweetness (or 1 tsp monkfruit)
                              1-2 cups of hot water (depends on how big your mug or french press
                              is)
                         Mucuna, lemonbalm, camomile and Passion Flower are other calming
                         herbs/adaptogens if you happen to have them and want to add to this elixir.
                         Motherwort is another one that can soothe the adrenals
                         (see if you can find it as a tincture in glycerin rather than alcohol)

                      1 TBS coconut oil or MCT
                      1 scoop of Collagen or (vegan option Peach/Mango flavor)
                      1 pinch of himalayan sea salt
                      1/8 tsp cacao powder
                      Sweeten to taste with either 1 tsp raw honey, 2 drops stevia drops or
                      1 tsp monkfruit
                      1/8 tsp cinnamon
                      1 ½ cup hot water
                      ½ cup nut milk of your choice

                                                 Beet Chai
                                                 Elixir
                                  1.5 cups hot water (or even better nettle infusion you made the night
                                  before)
                                  1/2 cup nut milk
                                  1 tbsp Organic Beet Powder
                                  1 scoop Collagen or (vegan option Peach/Mango flavor)
                                  ⅛ tsp dry ginger
                                  ⅛ tsp turmeric
                                  1 tsp raw honey

                            *Also try adding 1 tsp organic ground flax to a tall glass of water and drinking it
                            before this elixir. This is a great source of phytoestrogen benefits and is a great
                            source of fiber to get your bowels supported in detoxing.

Nut Milk:
   1 cup raw Brazil nuts (blend with water ahead of time
   to make brazil nut milk)
   ½ cup pumpkin seeds (mixed ahead of time with the
   Brazil nuts to make your nutmilk)
   4 cups filtered water (make sure the fluoride is filtered
   out)

Elixir:
     ⅛ tsp each cinnamon & cardamom
     1 packet of four sigmatic (coupon code BTRTLOVE) or
     1 cup brewed Rasa Tea
     2 scoops Collagen or (vegan option Peach/Mango
     flavor) or Irish Moss
     Add in a bit of ashwaganda if you have it                               Blend the brazil nuts and pumpkin

                                 1 tsp dried nettles
                                 1 tsp raspberry leaf
                                 1 tsp dried parsley
                                 2 tsp dried hibiscus
                                 ½ tsp dandelion
                                 1 tsp yellow dock (sorrel)
                                 1 scoop RASA (the rose/cacao flavor, oh yum!)
                                 1 scoop collagen powder
                                 1 tsp coconut oil
                                 2 cups hot water
                                 ¼ cup nut milk of your choice
                                 ½ tsp honey to taste

                 **Put above all together and steep it. You can use a french press if you'd like.
