According to one story, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The quick-witted Rat asked the Ox to take him on the ride across the river. As they arrived at the finish line, the Rat jumped down and landed ahead of the Ox, becoming first. People born in the year of the Rat are clever, quick thinkers who often do well in business. Years of the Rat include: 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008 and 2020. 2020 LUNAR NEW YEAR COMMITTEE Committee members: Anthony Ching, Ben Wang, Cathy Chow, Danny Yu, Dr Felix Lo, Fiona Lan, Hugh Lee, Jaewoo Kim, Jeffery Tse, Jimmy Park, Joseph Sun, Joseph Yu, Koo Guan Choo, Lance Wu, Lisa Liu, Ni Lin Ching, Chairman: Clr Simon Zhou Poppy Wang, Roy Maggio, Simon Deputy Chairman: Dr Felix Lo Zhou, Ste Lin, Steven Chang, Tony Advisors: Hugh Lee OAM, Melissa Foong Tang, Wilson Fu, Yi Xiao
